I preordered the cheese plate on PBI-IAH 11:30am departure today. Was decent, would do again on a light day like today. Glad the banana pudding will be gone.

Oh! Thought somebody mentioned upthread that it was gone. I don’t have any domestic bookings in January…

No, it isn't. I have multiple January itineraries (non-transcons), and they're all the triple chocolate cheesecake.

I flew out of MCO a few days ago (now MCO and Flying Food Group, the catering outfit there routinely screws up, so who knows), but instead of the already terrible pudding there was a parfait of sorts that was absolutely gross.

It was similar to this monstrosity https://www.richsusa.com/products/ot...esserts/20698/, but I do not think it was as "fancy" in presentation.

Hopefully the itinerary menu is correct. But according to the internal catering ops page it says
“Magnolia Bakery Signature Banana Pudding” fingers crossed 🤞

This looks mostly good. Except for what looks like Slim Jim meat sticks. I'd much prefer something like thinly sliced salame or prosciutto.

SJC-DEN 9am flight. We both ordered the Monterey Jack & Red Pepper Egg White Bites. Our dish was oriented differently. I thought it was interesting that they offered mini plain croissant or mini chocolate croissant. Love the Chobani yogurt more than the banana pudding. My tray table had stain marks from a previous flight.

Scrambled Eggs

I was actually pretty happy with this. I cleared the upgrade as I walked to the gate, so no chance to pre order. Could have used some ketchup for the hash browns and some hot sauce overall, but honestly was pretty good for what it was. PDBs of sparkling, water, or mimosas were offered on the ground.

Kale and Romaine Salad

This salad isn't bad for a lighter option. A bit more chicken wouldn't hurt since the bread and pudding is inedible. Although nothing beats AA's grain bowl with salmon.

UA241, 3pm departure
Baked Empanada

This is the hot empanada with mushroom, leek and Swiss cheese. The ingredient list on the back was way too long for my liking. A few rounds of the snack basket followed. Great proactive and friendly crew.

We started with PDB sparkling wine or water. Meal service was slightly delayed due to turbulence. This probably contributed to not having warm towels. Was happy to find plenty of cashews in my nut mix.
The Porcini Tortelloni was OK. I preferred the Cacio e Pepe Ravioli because there was more sauce in that dish. The Tortelloni was on the dry side.
The Chicken Pizzaiola was also just OK; could have used more sauce. The chicken was not as moist and yummy as the Grilled Chicken Breast from Dec 11, 2025; would have chosen the Grilled Chicken Breast again, but it was not on the Dec 30, 2025 menu.
We got Lemon Dressing for the salad.

The cabin crew was awesome on this flight.

The chicken looks fresher/ much less processed since I had it last.

I have to say this is my favourite breakfast recently. I think United have done well to have a “traditional” breakfast without it being too soggy or dry.
I definitely agree it would benefit from some Ketchup! A sachet would not go amiss 😉
