EWR-IAH 7 December 725 pm 737 Max 9 seat 3B
PDB of 1/4 blue plastic cup of Prosecco.
Nuts were decent this time around.
Pre-order signature dumplings were terrible. No idea why the restaurant would want to sully its brand with this iteration.

I wish they would change the banana pudding to a different flavor, or something completely different.

The one time that they were ok, they were not very hot, so the dumpling shell did not become a soggy mess, the other time, the dumpling were much hotter in temperature, but that caused the dumpling shells to become soggy to the point of sloughing off the meat inside and the "slaw" to heat weld itself to the dish.
The chili dipping sauce was mostly soy and I did not detect any chili flavor.
Regardless, if I were Mimi Cheng (and I am not) I would not want my product associated with a product that is inconsistent because it is too reliant on proper cooking/re-heating processes than an airplane cannot offer.

I must have experienced the rarest, most friendly, and attentive crew out there. The lead and second FA working First were in the aisle constantly, with the second FA always, literally every 10-15 minutes, going up and down the aisle shaking wine bottles and water with glasses if anyone wanted refills or something else to drink. Same with the snack basket at least two times.
Cacio e pepe ravioli
Cacio e pepe ravioli with parmesan cream sauce with black pepper, spinach, roasted red and yellow tomatoes (they were sundried in this case, not roasted.)

There were 6 in total. The sauce wasn't too rich as it mostly baked away leaving it mainly cheesy.

I am not the person that you asked, but I have had the dumplings twice and one time they were ok, the other time, they were terrible and I think the issue is that they do not handle rigors of the airline catering process well.

What are the dumplings made out of?
