Is this the same on TK15 from IST to GRU leaving around 10AM? I had this flight some years ago and I'm very certain that is was full lunch service after take off and dinner before landing. But recently saw reviews mentioning breakfast as the first service. Anyone with a recent experience for this flight?

Looking at various TK J menus, I noticed they lack a "in between" section that other airlines tend to have on longhaul. Does it mean they're J service is limited to the first and second meal or do they normally have some unpublished snacks/sandwiches/whatever? I understand that their meals are quite filling but still, on a 14 hours long flight we're talking maybe 9-10 hours between the first and second service.
On another note, when do they normally load the digital menu on their website? I'm still getting an error message about menu only being available on longhaul even though my ticket does include a longhaul flight. I assume it's simply because I'm too early. Or is it because my first flight is shorthaul and their IT is stupid?

They have snacks and sandwiches, but wont be offered proactively. You will need to go to the galley and ask about it. It is nothing to write home about it. If they have leftovers they will be able to serve you a snack meal in-between the main meals. Sandwiches are also provided in economy between meals and as self-serve in the galley. Are quite dry and usually with a piece of cheese and a piece of tomato or lattuce inside.

TK38 IST-JNB 2am departure.
We decided to give Turkish Airlines a go once again for our journey to SAR since AF KL charges horrendous amount. Not a fan of TK 350 with narrow seating as a side sleeper but like I said, I knew what I was going to get.
Food wise quality is extremely high and I enjoyed everything very much. But starting with first round of drinks and appetiser 1h 20m into the fairly short night flight is unacceptable. Finishing drink and having empty glass taken away without asking about refill seems to be standard as well as providing still & sparkling water with every dish is probably prohibited. What you wont beg for you wont get. The A350 forward galley is so small that basically crew works in the aisle next to first row. It is sadly terrible hard product (menu does not match, small galley so crew dont have space and it is noisy, narrow seats) combined with weak soft product provided by disorganised crew and lack of attention from them.

Oh and I did not bother waking up for breakfast. But crew seeing me 45 minutes before landing awake and not even asking if I want water, coffee, tea whatever...and when I asked for juice at least, I annoyed them and it is only to paper cup because we are landing shortly! Yes..in 45 minutes. Clearly shortly. Sadly is it repeatable experience.

And as for your 2nd question, I think I was able to access all the menus for my last lounghaul TK flights 14 days priorbut I have to be honest, finding the menus posted online happened kind of via chance so Im not sure of an extact time or if theres a TK IT error.

Apparently now you can preorder, but only in web, not app, and only for long haul flights ex IST. I tried to do that, my request was "saved" - can report back next week if that actually works

Dear FT Team,
My first time flying Turkish .. from what I have read here very excited about the food !
I've got quite an unusual itinerary flying LHR to MIA - reason for this choice 1) Great price in Business Class 2) Would like to try Turkish 3) Esp on return MIA to LHR keen to be able to sleep (I find direct flight too short to get any decent rest) 4) Tour on layover on return in IST
Thinking about food .. as you can see below I leave LHR early evening .. probably get light dinner on the 3ish Hr flight to IST
Then lounge for just over 2hrs, followed by departure to MIA at 0210am !
What food will they serve at 2am (probably 3am once in the air) ? What would be the best time to eat? Suspect breakfast during the decent?
Wondering what to eat when .. LHR FLight / Lounge / early morning ...
Any advice much appreciated.
All the best,
Peter

There are plenty of menus here that show Turkish's late night services.
A supper will be served after takeoff, and then breakfast prior to arrival.
Despite on demand dining is listed in menu, TK F/As just assume that everyone will dine at the same time, unless you specifically request it.
Honestly to get used to US time, I will personally stay up a bit for the supper service, and then sleep till breakfast which will typically be served 2 hours to 2 and half hours prior to arrival. Regardless, if you want dine later, you must inform the F/As when they take the meal order prior to departure. Food cannot be reheated again and the leftover starters/soup/dessert are all crew meals. If you don't ask them to save you food, you will get nothing. Their mid-flight snack menu is pretty weak and you will be lucky if they have some cheese sandwiches available.

Most of the food was delicious, except the meat which was a bit off - very fatty and tasteless at the same time. But the sweetcorn gratin saved the day
Service was typical TK - no proactivity but also no problem getting anything I wanted using a call button. When I did use it, the crew was actually very attentive and offered also refills of other stuff than what I asked for (e.g. always refilling my water bottle).

Having a lovely flight so far. Lunch was delicious and they definitely changed the menus slightly (at least out of Singapore). Only complaint is that the soup and main was bland but a little salt made great. Salmon wasnt too dry and the tiramisu was lovely. TK 209 Sin-Ist

Unlike TK, on a recent flight to GRU on Delta, the crew was phenomenal and served breakfast 1 hr before landing...
If we want change, more folks should send feedback about this. Please do so
