DL1010 was a complete fail. The flight fully missed the angle to totality or even partial and no one saw anything fully dark. Right side barely saw anything and left side saw just a bit of darkness of the sky. Neither sides saw anything of the moon covering the sun.

I thought I was the only one who couldn't see anything. I am in a window seat on right side, phone got some photos through the eclipse glasses of significant obscuration of sun, but not totality.

Left side 1010, I saw (most important) a tiny sliver. It was a lot of fun. Sun reflecting on wing was so cool. I have a pretty good picture, but the windows aren�t clear.

From the ground at DFW founders plaza park was AMAZING. Clouds cleared in time for totality, and it was a moving and breathtaking experience. The crowd applauded. It was a very cool place to watch it from, especially with take offs and landings happening all through out. Even got to see an Atlas Air 742 prior to totality.

Sorry to hear this. As it was mention in a prior post, appeared to be a Delta marketing ploy and it worked.

Sorry at least one of the flights was a bust. We lucked out in Cleveland. It is normally gray and raining here in April, but just a some cirrus clouds in the sky for the event today. Saw a solar flare during the event too.

How was DL 1218?

DL 1218 was good. The eclipse was nearly directly overhead so you really needed to contort in order to get a decent view. Left side was definitely worse than the right. The pilot banked right and then left (as opposed to right hand loop on 1010). Also 1218 flew at 37,000 ft while 1010 was at 31,000 ft. Apparently ATC was a real wildcard as to whether they would let them do these maneuvers with the tremendous amount of other air traffic in the area. I was really hoping to see the shadow of the moon, but it was not readily identifiable. I�m glad I did it, but I don�t think I�d do it again. The best part by far was the camaraderie on board.

I was not on a plane in the 3 pm hour today but watched the eclipse from my back patio 10 miles west of CLE. It vastly exceeded my expectations. The total eclipse at my location happened at 1514. The "corona" which ringed the moon was spectacular.

The saddest part about DL1010 was that everything was PERFECTLY setup, we were on the path of totality. Though I knew LIT VOR which we passed over and Jonesboro were both on the southern edge, but still - inside. But when he announced that the first turn was to the RIGHT (aka out of totality zone) I was in my head screaming no! Had the first turn been to the left we would have had an awesome experience like DL1218. I even forfeited another nonrefundable flight to be on this one but sadly that one got through totality instead. 1010 never entered totality, wing in sunshine whole time.
