Finally had a chance to try out the YYZ Signature Suite, my first visit to a Signature Suite. Weekday early evening, and the buffet area and dining room were busy but not crowded. I sat in the dining room.
I’m impressed. More of a restaurant than a lounge, but wow.
AC has shown they know how to deliver good food and service - they just need to be able to replicate it in air and deliver a consistently good product/service onboard.

Any recommended cocktails to try in SS? Going to be in there in about a week and a half.
The dessert menu that YYCCL3 shared has me excited!

In the YVR signature suite now. Long lineup to enter the suite and the intl MLL since they both open at 11. Took me about 10-15 minutes to get seated in the suite.
They are using the single elevator to access the suite and only allow one group of PAX in the elevator at a time. So that generally means one PAX at a time in the elevator. The concierge controlling elevator access said it allows them time to seat each PAX.
Disappointed that they don't have any champagne. Was just offered two choices of Prosecco which I declined.
EDIT after leaving:
The meal was quite good. I had two mains, two appetizers, and dessert. Salmon main was slightly overcooked but still very tasty. The lounge was completely empty when I left at about 12:45PM.

does it open at 11 only on tuesdays? What about earlier international flights? They just don’t get access? Seems late for a lounge to open at 11am considering domestic lounge opens at 430am

Just wondering, how often do they change the alacarte menu? I come to YYZ each month in the last 2 months and tomorrow, it's the same menu.

Wow I smell a class action coming from all these reports.
At the very least I'd write in and demand significant cash compensation.
And if people getting denied can post their fare basis codes, that might be useful in identifying a pattern (though it won't help if it's a capacity issue).

Quite dead in the YVR SS today (~15:00). Then again, INT check-in was dead too.
Nice view of the aircraft and St. Martin's Lane Pinot, which is always a winner.

Quick question which may be time sensitive given I am in the lounge. We are receiving excellent service at the restaurant. Is there a tipping suggestion?

I'm not keen to add tipping to the SS or MLL.
But it would be great if they had "staff recognition" cards available. Or maybe something in the app. Heck, that could work for all staff .... SS, MLL, GA, FA, concierge, more.
No costs to the passenger, and no pre-defined costs for AC either .... but something like that could be a great way to recognize and encourage the good staff.

YVR SS from a few days ago. Apologies if the images are too large, though I did try to resize them.

Menu

Winelist

Cocktail menu

Xiaolongbao and salad

Hawksworth burger and Moet

Dessert
Burger was average at best, service felt a tad understaffed but still extremely friendly. All in all, a good experience.

A "Like" wasn't enough to express my agreement with this post. There's way too much tipping in the world already. I'm happy to help AC recognize high-quality staff, but I don't want an airport lounge I didn't directly pay to get into to be yet another place where I'm supposed to make up for an employer's failure to pay their staff an adequate wage.
The staff at SS YYZ are not Air Canada employees except the dragons at the entrance who are also responsible for kicking you out at close.
There was shock at the idea that tips were to be turned down.
For what it's worth our group tipped $20 CAD. Our experience was of service above even a nice restaurant.
I do not think I have tipped in a MLL before. I do routinely tip at United Club and other lounges abroad.
I am presently sitting by the E gates waiting for my flight now after 01:40 and am not happy to have been kicked out at 23:30. However, the staff at the lounge were exemplary and very much due a gratuity.
