Even if you travel entirely from a non-risk country, you could be part of the 2% that are randomly selected for testing and quarantine anyway. It's just a matter of luck.

Booked on Delta (but flight operated by Air France) ORD-DEL via CDG round trip, Jan 9-25. I am an indian citizen (US permanent resident) traveling with an indian citizen (visa holder). Will I face any issues due to the extension of the 'bubble'? Also, should I expect the issues, if any, on the flight to India or on the return journey? Found this on the Air France India website:

The “bilateral air bubble” agreement between India and The United States of America, permits partner Delta Air Lines to codeshare with Air France and fly passengers between India and USA via France.

Passengers are personally responsible to ascertain eligibility based on the ENTRY requirements applicable at destination.

Does this mean Air France flight on Delta metal is OK or vice versa? Or does not really matter as long as I bought through Delta, I am good?

Hi
Would you be so kind to let us know here how it goes and if your partners faces any issues on the onward and return journey? I am on a Delta codeshare operated by Air France through CDG in January and getting mixed messages, including from Delta who said that only passengers to and from the Schengen area are allowed, not those coming from or 'destined' for USA. I think the Indian MoCA website says something similar.

FWIW, I (USC with OCI card) just flew SFO-AMS-DEL on KLM with an Air France ticket (not Delta) with no issues. I arrived on Friday.

That's helpful to know. I assume you are an Indian citizen ( I ask because foreign passport holders are allowed this route) ? Also are travelers through Europe now subject to quarantine in India?

Did they make you take a RT PCR at DEL? If not, at what point did they separate the high risk country people?

Great! My understanding is that foreign passport holders can take this route without issues but good to know you had no issues.

If you could, please share your arrival experience at DEL?

Thanks for that! Does it matter if the person is an Indian National? Seems to be some distinction (?)
Thanks!

Now that flights to Canada are a part of the bubble, can Indian citizens transit through Canada (with a transit visa)? Dont have a Canadian visitor visa and based on the MoCA Bubble PDF it seems one needs a visa to ENTER Canada to be eligible for the flights? Wish they thought about transit passengers too?

Data point: My partner got his boarding passes and boarded JFK-AMS-BOM. Price was US$1900 one way in Delta One, connecting to KLM Business Class. Bought with just 3 days notice. Very happy with that.
No question asked in terms of eligibility to fly, just was asked to produce the required paperwork (Health Declaration, Vaccine info, Covid test results from last 72 hours, and other paperwork required by Netherlands and India).
Thanks for the help on this thread!
I will update later as to the extent of BOM arrivals' required testing and possible quarantine.

Seems like AA just opened up more seats on direct JFK-DEL route which seems to be in the bubble for January.

Thanks for confirming this. So if I understand correctly, as an indian citizen (with a valid US visa), you are allowed to travel back and forth USA and India on Delta code share flights (via CDG or AMS; so either Air France or KLM)?
