This is a continuation of the original discussion HERE.
Book online at thankyou.com or by phone at 1-877-288-2484 7/24.
Starting September 1, 2019 the complimentary 4th night benefit can be used up to two times per calendar year. Bookings made prior to September 1, 2019, will not count toward your two-stay cap for 2019. Starting September 1, 2019 bookings for the 4th night benefit must be made exclusively by visiting thankyou.com or calling 1 800 THANKYOU. Citi Concierge will no longer handle new 4th night benefit bookings but will continue to support bookings made prior to September 1, 2019. To utilize your benefit through our online travel site, and/or have the option to use your ThankYou points, please visit thankyou.com, select travel in the top menu bar, select hotels, choose hotel designated as Complimentary 4th Night Eligible, book at least 4 nights, see savings at checkout. Starting for reservations made on or after July 23, 2017, this benefit will give you the average nightly rate on stays of 4+ nights, and will NOT include taxes.
Reimbursement times vary but seem to have improved in 2017, now about 2 weeks is most common. See this thread for details.

The email route has always been quite slow here in HK -- typically 2-3 days response time. I prefer calling the concierge line.

I just made a request for a refundable rate at a Marriott in Boston, The concierge got back to me in about 2hrs, Not only that they booked the reservation without me asking, not sure they are supposed to do that, but I am not going to complain.

Depends on workload. I sent an email out requesting a new booking at Thursday 3:51AM Eastern. Received confirmation with hotel confirmation# and expected amount of 4th night credit at 4:32AM.

Couple of upcoming insurance chances, it makes you wonder if Citi still wants to compete in the $450 AF segment.

Email address used in bookings?
Does anyone know the email address the Concierge uses for hotel bookings? I'm trying to check my reservation directly with the hotel using an email and my confirmation number without any luck. I've tried my personal email, [email protected], and [email protected] without any luck. I know I saw a post quite a long time ago that had this information but I've searched with no luck. My booking was made calling the concierge not through the Thank You portal. Thanks!

Hi everyone -- I have a question about a situation that I haven't found yet on this thread...
In February I booked a 4th night free reservation for a stay this week at a Ritz Carlton property. I used a corporate rate. Per the concierge confirmation email (and I'm 99% sure what I saw on the RC site before booking the reservation) is that the total rate was 1020 euros (255 a night for 4 nights). After taking out VAT, that calculates to a 229.50 EUR refund, for a total after refund of 790.50 EUR.
When we checked in at the hotel, the rate on our check in materials was listed as 255 EUR a night for the first 3 nights, and 0 EUR for the 4th night. We checked out on Wednesday. I haven't yet received a folio from the hotel (perhaps because it went to the concierge instead?) but the charge has hit my credit card (as a "real" charge -- not just the pending charge) and it indeed lines up with getting that last night for 0 EUR.
So my questions are -- there's no way that this was a backwards way for the concierge to get me a 4th night free, right? Should I expect Citi to recalcuate the refund off of the 765 EUR total?
I've never had this happen before and it is making me a bit paranoid! If we end up with a 4th night free on top of that reduced rate, I think this becomes my best bang-for-the-buck hotel experience to date
Thanks so much!

Is it me or has anyone else noticed it's taking longer for the credits to post? Previously, I'd get an email stating the credit would be processed within 3-4 days of the charge on my card. One of them has been a week and na da.

The e-mail is consistently received the Monday the week after the check out and the credit posts the Wednesday two days later.

I made another email concierge request and never got a reply. I asked the lady on the phone what's up with the email requests and she said it's a different department. My requests typically require them to call the hotel and ask for the corporate discount I receive so maybe I get pushed down the line as they can't do it online. Too bad though, it used to work so nicely.
I hate to even talk about it, but how long before this benefit goes away? How can Citi afford it? I know travel agents get a kickback when they book rooms, but its not 25% of the cost (nevermind the labor cost of booking the hotels), and on top of all that I get 3X TYP? Loving it while I can, but seems like "Fourth Night Half-Free" has to be around the corner...
I suppose on the other hand, if I'm using my Citi Prestige for the hotel, I'm probably using it for everything else on my business travel (well, this isn't quite what I do, but in a general sense) as well which I guess can make Citi some money but they're paying out 3X points on that too. Too many folks paying $450 a year and never using the bennies? Gotta love this game...

They got rid of the golf rounds ($$) and they limited the benefit to the average of the nights instead of the last night (which was very gameable), so maybe they'll need 1-2 years to reassess the current perks?
