I shouldn't have to be asked if I am a member of their parent company's mid-market-budget brand to inquire about rates at the RC on a particular set of dates. It is a shame how far the RC has fallen.

Ergo sparing someone like your good self the ignominy of even knowing how lesser mortals communicate with hotels or the ignominy either of risking contact with hoi polloi programs...

Well I was handed a letter and a new by invitation card valid to the end of December 2013 upon checking out of Sharm .
Pretty much the same benefits as the previous program.
The benefits are combine able with the Fspp benefits. So if by invitation gives you a 100 dollar lunch/dinner credit and Fspp does a spa credit you get both and your breakfast.
Add in a 3 for 2 and whatever else is attached to an offer the hotel is running and you have a triple whammy of added value to your stay.
Clever use of the guaranteed at booking upgrade points earned is a fourth deal breaker whammy that draws me in!
Given the number of very nice Four Seasons properties around,my custom is assured on an ongoing basis anyhow.

In a depressed economy the value of a guaranteed upgrade was small but as inventory tightens and the economy improves this will become an increasingly valuable benefit.
But this program won't change my staying behavior, I was already a happy Four Seasons guest. If they had made the points stackable, or offered other incentives like redeeming points for a free night, it would have significantly increased my number of nights with Four Seasons.

The "By Invitation" promotion launched on November 1, 2011 and is scheduled to run through December 15, 2012. Enrolment progress has been good and is on schedule - over 8,000 enrolments to date. We will close enrolment at the end of January [2012] Results will start to be reviewed in February [2012] but the very earliest we expect to see any impact is summer 2012 and it may take until the end of the year. [2012] Using the results and feedback, recommendations will be made regarding a formal recognition/loyalty program. The recommendations may be made at the end of the year [2012] or early next year [2013] depending on when results from the promotion are available. Ensure strong recognition of "By Invitation" guests when they visit your property.

This looks more like a continuation of their survey work into whether something like this is a runner actually.
Personally, foremost, like most here, good four seasons, like all good hotels have me and have you by virtue of their product.

looking at 2011 financials >
alwaleed going to sell more stakes in FS hotels - 78% marrakech, 50% mauritius, 19% paris
(that would leave the following stakes in FS hotels - 90% langkawi, 57% beirut, 55% damascus)
thats kingdom hotels, while kingdom holding owns FS toronto, and presumably owns 75% of paris?
kingdom holding lists as asset and current PR mentions. article and release from 1996 >

Am I going crazy??
I swear I went to the FS website last week and found a link to their new loyalty program, including details about tier levels, benefits, etc., but now when I look, there is no link.
Am I going crazy? Were they doing a test launch?
Anybody else see anything?

You may be thinking of Mariott's upscale brand, the Ritz-Carlton...
