I think your booking decisions were wise. ^
In case it helps with future booking questions that otherwise point toward WN, however: since SWA mostly fixed the issue with bookings made while not logged in not showing up on the future itineraries page, I don't much worry about whether I'm logged in or not. Most of the data auto-filled by MySouthwest is handled just as easily by my browser's form auto-complete. The new booking pages don't allow credit card auto-complete, which was a security risk with the old page, but I memorized my Amex info long ago, so that is not a concern for me either.

Well, good news and not so good.
I was able to log in at 5:30 am CT without a hitch and the reward booking process for old credits was a bit hard to find, but when I did it worked pretty much without a hitch. Except, I find no way to convert to a freedom award and the flight I really wanted is not available as standard. If there is a way to do this and I missed it, someone let me know. The flight is just $150 so it does not make sense to burn an award on it anyway. However, if I can not combine as before, it will make it a lot harder to use up my old credits. I may to use them for client work which means I build points much slower.
The really bright spot is that you can now book CP right from your upcoming flights page. In fact, there is a button on the right side to book the CP at the same time you are booking the flight! A small favor in an otherwise messy rollout. It took about 5 minutes for the flight to show up under my itineraries but when it did it was click through to the payment page already filled out! Good job here guys.
And, for some reason, the payment page no longer asks for the easy to miss CC security code for my SWA Visa. I had it memorized, but I was always forgetting to enter it.

Has anyone else tried to book a ticket with Firefox? I have complete disabled ....... and other extensions at southwest.com and I cannot get the reservation page to work with Firefox. However, I have no problem making a reservation with Chrome.
Also, future trips seems to still be unavailable.
Also, while it is possible to see old credits, there is no listing of those credits. I have absolutely no idea if the flight I took on 2/25 is included in the number of credits - and no way to know if the number they claim you have towards A-list is correct.

Currently impossible to purchase a ticket via the web site.
Oops! and the undefined error message.
Been on hold via the old priority phone number for over 55 minutes, nothing but on-hold music.

But for those of you thinking about shorting the stock, here's a nugget to consider: you vastly underestimate Gary Kelly's cleverness. See, he has figured out it is vastly more profitable to hire an incompetent IT contractor and then sue them for lost revenue than it is to sell airline tickets to folks who want to travel. When you actually sell folks airline tickets, you incur all the unpleasantness that goes with actually having to transport them around the country!

RR 1.0 Booking Two Or More Adults?
The option to book (or even see availability) for 2 or more adults on the same flight is not available in RR 1.0? I can book 2 or more seniors, but not adults. I realize I can go through the process multiple times, but what if the flight wasn't available after booking the first one? This is important when booking a family to travel together.

I assume you mean with an award.
Though it is clunky, there is a workaround. You can book 1 award and then if there is no more availability, you can cancel the first award and it will go back into your account at no charge.
Also, in the past, awards tend to open up over multiple days for the same flight.

There's a way to do it
This is pretty easy to do, actually.
When you press the Book Now button you get a pop-up box called Book a Trip (unless you have Flash blocked).
At the bottom of the Book a Trip pop-up box is a link for Advanced Search. Select that option and you will be able to book multiple passengers, open jaws, and even custom connections.

You are not permitted to book an award earned by another person. They have to book it. If you call Southwest and tell them that some person you just met on Craigslist "gave" you his award and you want to make a reservation with it, the results will not be good.

RR 1.0 (or according to many of us actually RR 1.5) refers to Standard Awards or Freedom Awards or leftover credits.
RR 2.0 refers to the new points system.
Paid bookings are neither RR 1.x nor RR 2.0, since paid bookings have nothing to do with Rapid Rewards, other than entering your RR number (which doesn't change between RR 1.x and RR 2.0).
So are you trying to do a paid booking or an award booking???

Blackout Dates for Standard Awards?
I've been watching Standard Award availability (both pre- and post-March 1) on a couple of routes for May 27. There have been multiple flights available on both routes up until today. This morning when I logged in and searched for the May 27 flights I received this message:
Date unavailable for Freedom (Standard) Award Booking
My understanding is that the old "Freedom Awards" had certain blackout dates, likely including the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. However, "Standard Awards" have never carried specific blackout dates, just limited availability on a given flight. I also thought that Freedom Awards were no more; regardless, I have never and do not currently have any Freedom Awards. Now it appears that WN has now applied Freedom Award blackout dates to Standard Awards.
Has anyone else run into this issue? I'm hoping that this is just another website glitch that will be fixed at some point, and that Standard Awards are not really subject to blackout dates.
