The damage is too great to have the hotel operational in half a year.
They will have to rebuild half of the tents, replace all damaged furnitures, redo the entire dining area, rebuild the bridge....

You get the garden view suite at check in when your SNAs clear. Then you negotiate with them to switch to ocean view room on the spot. Not sure if it's a choice before you arrive. I have done this...

I always used SNAs here and always get upgraded. Be prepared for a suite with no view, but they will allow you to switch to room with a view.

Different workload, different queue, different personnel handling call and refund, so you are not adding time to the process. Just like if you complain on FT, it doesn't change the time of process...

The other F wine options are quite sad. Outside of Emirates F, the Vintage Krug and Montrose put CX above everything else for me. I hope they can improve on the white option. I am very pleased...
