Well, I don't get in. Clicking My OT comes: Oops! Please try again after restarting your browser.
Done that and it still gives the error message for check your upgrade status too: the Last name entered does not match with your booking.

This has been two months now. Tried with IE and Chrome too.
Will get my paid OT bid back from credit card company if no email stating not upgraded or upgraded appears before my flight.

you sure you are using current log in info? my user name is an old email address I used 3 years ago for my first OT try. I have since changed my email address on their records, but my user name is the old address.

Have you tried clicking forgot username/password and see if either of those might be causing the issue??

I had that once due to some cookie issue. I think going there with your browser in private mode will work.

As long as you have the mail from OT with the confirmation of the upgrade request, why don't you just send a mail to the helpdesk. They are usually pretty responsive and have been able to solve all issues I had pretty quickly.

Optiontown paid upgrades on SAS; OT chat option

No response to my email from OT after two business days. However their chat option is good, all was handle in three minutes. My OT request for SAS business class and SAS Plus is on upgrade decision pending status, so I´m satisfied so far. Still having difficulties with their website. Maybe Finland is banned
Will review here how it went in April for SK983.

That is nice.

Hey... which browser and operating system do/did you FT´s use with OT site?
I cannot get in since Nov 2013, not even to see my current bid which is on due until two months. IE and Chrome? Mine is Mac and Safari/Chrome and I still get error message. I cannot even log in to My OT anymore. I did my bid on Aug 13 with Mac and it went through.
Windows 7 on my laptop and Safari on my iPhone.

Booking class with other FFP

Hi

Apologies if the question has been answered before.
Is it correctly understood that when upgraded with OT, the earned EB points follow the upgraded class, however that this is not the case if credited to other FFPs?

Example: If I am booked in V class, I would get 100% earnings in EB, but probably 0% or 25% in other programs. If upgraded to Y+ (B class?) I would now earn 200% in EB, however still only 0% or 25% in other FFPs, as the V class in this case would still somehow apply?

Thanks.

Your booking is actually changed, so I would guess that it would be B that will show up on your statement. Once upgraded and you check your booking online the new booking class will show. But as I only have EB as *A card I have not tested.
You would need to check what B earns in the specific program. Probably only in EB it gives 200%, 100% to 150% in other programs I would guess.

Yes, you get points according to your upgraded class. I upgraded to business with option town on a flight a couple of weeks ago, and that posted as Z (150%) on my united mileage plus account.

Thanks, good to know. I actually mis-read the alternative FFP earnings chart the first time around, so for V class it would probably only be the 100%-200% difference that would be lost by crediting to the alternative program, not 0%-200%. I am currently building up status in this alternative program, so may be worth it after all.

I am holding a Y booking with a pending OT upgrade to Y+, a flight which is basically sold out in both Y and Y+ but with C wide open. Other than the potential OT upgrade, I assume chances for an additional op-up would be higher with my EBG card registered - however what is the latest time I am able to change the FFP of the booking, can it be done at the gate? Would be a bit of a shame to miss a potential op-up at the gate, having changed from EBG to a no-status card just minutes earlier at check-in

I was once led to believe that it's technically possible to separate the FFP program registered for miles accrual and status, however I have never personally managed to make this work, and when inquiring at multiple check-ins, the confused looks I get always makes me go safe and enter the FFP I want the miles to go to.
