Short term parking:
ParkSFO
Pros:
QuikPark
Pros:
Burlingame Airport Parking (ParkBAP)
Pros:
Anza
Pros:
BART
Pros:
SFO Long Term Parking and Lot D
** The shuttle buses look exactly the same! One says 'Lot D', the other says 'Long Term Parking' (likely no longer a concern? see below re: AirTrain)
SFO Long Term Parking
Pros:
Cons:
SFO Long Term Parking Lot D
Pros:
ParkSFO
Pros:
- Generally highest rated by FTers
- Fast and regular shuttles
- Quick & easy access from 101 freeway
- Register for emails to receive monthly coupons
- Coupons for 1 free with 3+ days, 2 free with 5+ days, 3 free with 7+ days, and 4 free with 9+ days parked in a single stay.
- Coupons are blacked out during Thanksgiving, Xmas, and other peak periods
- www.parksfo.com/coupons/
- June 2013 Coupon
- Often full or forced to valet at higher rate
- More expensive than other off-airport options, especially if no coupon
- Reservations required or risk likely being turned away at entry
- Price listed online does not include tax and fees (which is around 16%)
QuikPark
Pros:
- Online reservations
- Relatively cheap
- must prebook online for best rate and bring printout to give to attendant
- Slow shuttles
- Even with a reservation, sometimes fill up and hard to find a spot
(note: if you book on-line and the lot is full, they will find you a space-you will be stopped at the gate but all you have to do is show them your pre-paid receipt)
Burlingame Airport Parking (ParkBAP)
Pros:
- Consistently one of the cheapest, especially for weekly rates.
- Generally do not have to prebook to get the best rate.
- 3 shuttles an hour only, and a bit slower than average due to distance. Try to arrive at or before :00, :20, or :40 to allow a few minutes wait.
- September 2013: For pickups late, I feel the turnaround times are more consistent with 2x per hour for the shuttle. No posted change, however.
- Poor ratings (see yelp)
Anza
Pros:
- With Burlingame Airport Parking, the only parking South of airport (Other than BART)
- Easy access dropoff, not so easy to get back on freeway (S-101)
- Valet is free (no extra charge) when they are near capacity
- Frequent parker program: Each 30 paid days yields a 5-consecutive-day park for free. Check in on facebook and receive credit for 1/2 paid day as well. (Note: This program has changed. It is now tied into the Fivestars card rather than a paper punch card.)
- When partially full, they require you use their free valet service, and this requirement varies from hour to hour. Be sure to have nothing valuable in your car!
- Poor shuttle service for SFO arrivals at busy weekend/holidays (30-45min wait)
- Need a printed coupon from their website to get the best rate
BART
Pros:
- Free over the weekend (except the cost of using BART to the airport) and holidays, even as part of a longer stay
- Online reservations for weekday parking
- BART schedule is known well in advance

- Pretty much guaranteed a parking spot
- Hard to use if you're trying to park or pick up when BART is closed for the night
- Possibility of getting a ticket if you overstay your reservation
- Can wait up to 20 minutes for BART in off-peak hours, or have to go to San Bruno and back to Millbrae during peak hours (or take a taxi for about $12)
SFO Long Term Parking and Lot D
** The shuttle buses look exactly the same! One says 'Lot D', the other says 'Long Term Parking' (likely no longer a concern? see below re: AirTrain)
SFO Long Term Parking
Pros:
Regular shuttles (not the fastest, not the slowest)- AirTrain blue line now goes to Long Term Parking (no more bus shuttles) but makes quite a number of stops before reaching the domestic terminals
- Sometimes if the normal area and Lot D fill up, you'll get a voucher to use the short-term parking at long-term rates
- Covered Parking in the garage - it gets full at peak times
Cons:
- Expensive
- However, current promo is $12/day for 3 days prepaid online (and the rate decreases for additional days)
SFO Long Term Parking Lot D
Pros:
- Sometimes if the Long Term Parking area and Lot D fill up, you'll get a voucher to use the short-term parking at long-term rates
- Expensive
Tips for Long Term Parking and Lot D- Park near Stop 5 in Long Term Parking and you are the first off the bus and out of the parking lot!
- Although the signs will indicate that a floor is full, I am often able to find a spot on these floors.
- Airtrain station is on level 5 of the garage
Month or longer parking:
Someone who's done this please add experiences - I (rob_flies_ua) would just pay for a shuttle or car service at this point. unavaca recommends taking Uber in this case.

I reached the ParkSFO lot around 7pm on Friday, October 22, and a "FULL" sign was blocking the entrance to the outdoor lot. The last time this happened, I was short on time and could not go elsewhere. Ended up having to park on the top floor of the parking garage, effectively paying indoor rates for outdoor parking!
However, this past weekend, parking demand seemed to be way down. There weren't many spaces outside on Friday night at about 9 pm, but there were a few, and there was plenty of room on Saturday when I returned.

I've been using Fastrack on Produce Ave. with the $8.99 coupon on longtermparking.com.
I just went to print out another, and it seems to have gone up to $10.69.
Anyone have any better deals for this lot?

At 7am on Friday BAP had a good 50 or more space in their outdoor lot, and plenty more under the building. Can't figure out their rates as I was charged $17.25 for a 2 day 7 hour stay. Guessing they didn't charge for the full third day. The posted rate was $8 a day plus tax.

). Bizarre.I'm running out of ParkSFO's 3-day coupons, so for this weekend's longer trip, I'm planning to give BAP a try.

Used Quikparksfo over the Halloween weekend
I was charged 10+tax ($11) a day. Website says $8+tax, I guess you need to make a reservation on-line?
Will give parkbap a try next time, and do the on-line reservation thing if necessary.
I have used ParkSFO with coupons before, but I've never received a 7 day coupon. I was happy with them, but they always worked out to $10-12 a day for me. If I can get <$10 I will be happy, especially with a 13-day trip coming up. But maybe I should just take BART at that point, even with a companion. Main thing that bugs me is dragging luggage at rush hour.
For a 1-day mileage run I am tempted to stick with the airport parking. Shuttle frequency seems better, but maybe not better than ParkSFO.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this thread.

FWIW, a civil engineer friend who commutes frequently thinks the ParkSFO shuttles are more frequent than SFO's long-term parking shuttles. Anecdotally, I agree with him, based on my (usually quite brief) waits for the ParkSFO shuttles.

Heck, for a 1-day mileage run, why not just park in one of the International Terminal parking lots for $20 and walk to your gate, skipping shuttles entirely?

13 day stay - Doubletree room + parking
We're going to PEK from Dec. 22-Jan 3. This is 13 days of parking. With ParkSFO, we could get 2 days free, so 11 days at about $15/day with taxes (indoor parking), or $165.
BAP was average $9.69/day, so that comes out to $125.59. quickparksfo was $143.
For $146 we got a room at the Doubletree and 14 days parking. Since we'll come in the night before, it's exactly 14 days. As HHonors Gold, we'll get breakfast as well. Also, we can get up later and get to the airport more easily.
Unless I'm missing something, this seems like the best deal overall for this long a stay, even if a little more then BAP.
Cheers.

The Hyatt has been running some park and stay rates at $109-119, though you only get 10 days there and there's a charge per extra day (thinking $10--their website is down right now). I stayed there Thanksgiving night just because I wasn't sure I'd find a parking lot with spaces the following day for a trip to London. Having Hyatt status took care of wifi and breakfast for me.
I've also used the Crowne Plaza before but they only include 7 days now (I stayed the full 14 earlier in the year on a UK/Germany trip but that has changed). You do get a lot of freeway noise at the property so probably not good for a light sleeper. A lot of the Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express properties both north and south of SFO also have park and stay rates.
I ended up at Hyatt this last time as I still had some Costco certs to bring the price down below $100. There was a Holiday Inn around the same price but I don't get any perks there, so Hyatt made sense.

Excellent idea, especially since you get points & stay credit also. Last Christmas/NYE I used the Park & Fly rate at the Crowne Plaza SFO, by far was one of the cheapest options at the time. Unfortunately they only offer 7 days of parking this year instead of the 14 they offered last year.

Weekends are easy for parking at Millbrae BART. 3:15 is a bit early but some people should have already left from the spots eligible for long term use, so I think you should have no problem. If you could get there a bit later -- like 6pm Friday -- you can have any one of hundreds of spaces.
