Did this begin after IE11 was pushed through on Windows Update? It has caused a lot of problems including fouling Windows Gadgets which MS refuses to fix since they want to make Win7 uncomfortable to use so we'll be forced onto "New Coke" WIndows 8, the biggest rollout disaster in product history.

What i would try is rolling back to IE10 in Windows Update>Update History>Installed Updates,, or try another browser like Firefox which is quite good and impervious to attempts to smother the best OS ever in its crib.

Now I (sort of) know the answer, so I'm posting for posterity...

I redeemed on 3/17. I just checked today, 3/28, and the miles posted. So yes, faster than 6-8 weeks. Less than 11 days, more than 3-4 (since that's about when I last checked my account.)

I just reached $60 worth of reward points and am looking at the $50 level and can't figure out which is worth more among the airline miles .

Can anyone chime in for input?

for $50 I can get one of these:

1 A+ point ( I presently have 16 that I haven't converted to SW yet)
1,000 Rapid Rewards ( have about 680 points)
1,000 Mileage Plus ( presently have 22K but using my Chase and Freedom card for more miles
1,000 US Air ( presently have 11K and have canceled card earlier this year)
1,000 True Blue ( jet blue have 22K+ points still have card )

What's your flight goal? If you're willing to use them strategically and have a plan in place, the Iberia Avios can be a quite good redemption option. Same probably goes for True Blue, but I'm not very familiar with that program.

Only flight goal is 2- one way flights from Roc to Mia or FLL in December,
I have enough in both Jet Blue and probably Rapid Rewards once I transfer A+ and will have enough in United after this month's statement.

Looking to see which one is worth more if for example I had to purchase points.. which is more costly.

ETA: ok I figured it out.. went to each site and looked at how much each 1,000 would cost.

1 A+ credit = $39
SW 2kpts =$55 = 1k=$27.50
United 2k miles= $75.25 (1k=#37.63 ish)
USair 1k miles=$35

Personally, I wouldn't look at the cost of buying miles to determine "value" unless you think you are going to be only 1000 miles or one credit short.

I'm not very familiar with redeeming miles/points on Southwest, Jetblue, or Airtran, but think that between UA and US, UA would be a better choice for you since 1) you are looking to book two one-way flights (USAirways Dividend Miles program does not allow one way redemptions) and 2) you can collect/transfer UR points to UA but don't seem to have a way to build up miles on US now. Of course, longer term, if you have AA miles, they will be combinable with US miles in the future.

I wouldn't select Airtran even though it has the highest cost.

It' kind of floats in mystery land once you convert it to Southwest if you have an odd amount. You already have the 16 credits, the one really won't do much good unless you're going to get 7 more somehow.

You are better off selecting the Southwest points.

What would the 1 AirTran point translate to in Southwest rapid rewards?

I don't think you can transfer AirTran points directly into SW points. It seems if you transfer it to SW, you end up getting a "rapid rewards credit" which is similar to an A+ point(8 per one way economy redemption). Of course you can in fact that will be my only choice once AirTran is gone completely, that article is dated 2012 and speaks more to moving SW to A+ to extend the life of the points.
