Out of stock for me too. And I joined e-Rewards via an invitation from Hilton years ago. If Hilton is leaving, I am too.

Have e-rewards got wise to HotSpot Shield? I'm overseas and I've not had a survey that hasn't "expired" immediately I click on it for at least a month, probably more, even though I get at least 5 emails from e-rewards each week. HotSpot Shield used to solve the issue of being abroad, but it doesn't seem to make any difference now, unless there's some other reason why I'm having problems. Any ideas?

Use Express VPN instead. It always works and HotSpot Shield never did for me. Plus it was a lot slower.

First Delta is gone .... now (maybe) Hilton .... looks like I could be gone soon as well ....

Hilton has gone out of stock before with no dire consequences.

When Delta pulled out of the program, we got a good two weeks warning of it. If they were going to lose Hilton, I'd hope they put up the same alert.

That's a good point. Still, it seemed odd that all award levels went oos at the same time. If it really were a question of having stock, one would expect them to go oos one at a time, so I was thinking this suggested a systemic issue, like perhaps a change in redemption amounts (as semi-recently happened for 7k HH points). But perhaps not. tls

Just checked now. All HH levels are available.

If anyone's still wanting Delta miles, I've had pretty good luck so far with Harris Polls. (search them on you own and it'll come up pretty easily; if I try to copy a link while I'm logged into the site, it wants to dump a referral code in the header)

Each time they send you an e-mail about new surveys, when you click on the link, it dumps you into a survey router. I've been able to click that most recent e-mail several times. Sometimes you'll get a message about no surveys matching your demographics; sometimes you can get 3-4 different surveys from that one e-mail.

Redemption downside is that they can sometimes take a little longer than '10-15 business days' after you cash out. Redemption upside is that you redeem for a Skypeso voucher through points.com rather than linking a single FF number to your Harris account, so it looks like you might be able to deposit them in different Delta accounts as needed. (They've also got US Airways dividend miles.)

When these things happen, you have to complain. E-rewards doesn't know the survey firms are pulling these stunts unless you tell them.

That's exactly what I just did. I got a survey about Personal Finance by Phoenix Marketing International. Was well into it after answering many questions - over 90% done, according to the survey - when I screened out. The partial credit was .25, which was ridiculous for all time spent and I emailed e-rewards to complain. Most of the time, I feel the compensation is fair, but this was not.

Very disappointed as I typically redeem my points for Specialty car but looks like I'll have to stop now!

Oh wow! Just checked my accounts through Award Wallet and noticed I had gotten the 500 Hertz points! Only took 12 weeks!!!

Hertz

This time I redeemed Hertz again and it posted in 3 business days compared to 9 weeks previously.

satz Jul 4, 2013 7:22 pm

Same for me, it took 3 days which was surprisingly quick

gloreglabert Jul 8, 2013 8:56 pm

I've redeemed for Hertz points 3 times. Every single time, the points never posted and I had to follow up after 8 weeks, sometimes multiple times, to get them to post the points manually. Around ~3 months from redemption to posting.

For those who are ex-Delta folks, my second quarter bonus just posted.
