Wow, go to hell e-rewards. Just did the entire thing for a JD power survey, finished up to 100%, clicked finish or submit or whatever and it kicks me back to e-rewards and says I didn't qualify.

How much time do you spend on those surveys? I went through about 4 of them yesterday with pretty thorough questions which I answered. When I got to the end, I "didn't qualify." Of course, they already extracted a bunch of useful data from my responses.
I'm pretty much not going to waste any more time with Opinion Miles. At least E-rewards disqualifies you pretty quickly. Funny is that am unemployed, so I had more time to devote to surveys. So which came first? The unemployed guy with spare time who founds surveys to keep occupied, or the employee who was so wrapped up in surveys and the points game he didn't complete his work and was let go? |
Sometimes a late disqualification has a reason. There are controller questions, which you must read carefully and give a specific answer. If not, it shows you don't pay attention and get disqualified, even if it is 10 minutes into the survey. I've seen these a lot of times.

Not only do you get dumped out after filling out a lengthy survey, the mileage award is terrible! 50 miles for 20 minutes!??! C'mon. At least with eRewards I feel I am earning real rewards. At Christmas 2012, my DW and I decided that we would buy a Wii for our kids for 2013 Christmas (yes - this is a 2014 post and yes, I am a bit behind the times , but kids are 2 and 5 and it works fine for them and great for my wallet). I already had a couple GameStop gift certificates from redemption ($25 gc for "e$" 75). I hit the ground running and did so hard. Between our two accounts, over 12 months, we amassed more than $150 in GameStop gc. So with that we got everything: the console, spare controllers, games, zappergun, more games, etc. and I didn't have to pay a penny! This was the perfect year, too, as I am unemployed and Christmas was tight as we were. Funny is that am unemployed, so I had more time to devote to surveys. So which came first? The unemployed guy with spare time who founds surveys to keep occupied, or the employee who was so wrapped up in surveys and the points game he didn't complete his work and was let go? I do however like opinion miles club and erewards equally as much. Both great mile builders |

Has anyone recently redeemed e-Rewards currency for a Starbucks gift card? I'm wondering how long it typically takes to arrive in the mail. The confirmation e-mail said it takes up to 30 days -- is that a generous estimate or about on target?

I agree Opinion Miles is too low to bother, except for in a few instances:
1- If you need to keep your miles active to not lose them - this is a good way to do it. 2- If you need a very small # to go into the next thousand (e.g., 79,960) and want to get over 80,000 so you can redeem for a free one way 1st class flight. I recently used them for #2, which saved me a few bucks (otherwise I would've had to buy miles). |

I use a debit card and pay no blood to big banks or other corporations, just fly around the world on their dime. |
For redemption toward hotel reward points....
Which hotel rewards programs have the quickest deposit of points to account? I know for a fact Hilton HHonors is an instant deposit once e-Rewards are cashed in. I also know IHG takes 3-4 weeks or more to deposit points. Maybe I should go for Hertz points instead??? |
