I did chase them up again, and was told we'll investigate. One week later I got an email advising that the points would be credited, which occured a few days later.

Does anyone have any recent experience with points.com? I received an alert from AA that my miles were set to expire and therefore went on points.com to see if I could do anything with them. They offer to post a "swap" with someone at a cost if the swap is accepted.

My swap has not yet been accepted yet they have now charged my card TWICE for the amount of the swap. They offer no phone number to contact them. Their "chat with a live agent" is conveniently disabled. I've sent three emails via "contact us" and have yet to receive a response.

Anyone have any recent experience with them or know a contact number??

If your miles are expiring, perhaps you can try this solution I just posted: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/s-p-m...l#post14759532 ?

If your AA miles are expiring within the next several months, don't count on Bing. It takes at least 2 to 3 months (sometimes longer) for Bing miles to post to AA.

That is the case with Live Search Club, but in the case of Bing Rewards, they state the following:

To redeem your miles, complete the reward form with all the required information, including your name, last name and AAdvantage frequent flyer number.
Submit your order.
You will receive an e-mail confirming your request for miles.
Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for the miles to be posted in your account.

Update: they have now taken my AA miles, provided no swap hotel points, charged my card TWICE, refused to credit for any of the charges as they are "investigating" (back on 24Sep10) and it still stands that way.

I have disputed with my credit card company and now am going to have to fight with points.com to give me my airmiles back as well since they took them without authorization. They were only authorized for a swap, and I have not yet been provided anything!

For anyone else going through horror with points.com, I finally found a number - 866-737-9904. Hours are 10a-5p ET, M-F per the recording. Twiddling thumbs until 10am now.....

What's the old saying, something along the lines of "Never blame on malice what can be attributed to incompetence?"

heck yeah!

points.com is evil.

I have made numerous posts on here over the years detailing why. I mean, hey, they might transfer your airline miles from one acct to the other, but even that has holes in it. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT!

The biggest issue with them ever had to do with a botched promo involving AA and Ebay. They nearly screwed 100 people on here out of 10k miles each.

We banded together and fought and won.

Feel free to look thru these to see more crap about them--the last few pages of the last one being the best part of the AA one... it was where I posted like every email address of every employee there to get them to be accountable!

Subject: FW: Converting with AA Bonus Immediate attention required

Dear Management and Board of Directors of Points.com:

I participated in your promotion with Ebay anything points last June. I have been trying to get the last of my miles to post since last summer. The bonus was offered by your company, so we are not dealing with a third party here. If you will review the correspondence below with Lissa Romano you will see that I sent numerous messages inquiring about the miles. I was mostly ignored by Lissa and your company. I am appalled that you would not post miles that are legitimately mine. I am very upset about the amount of time I have had to spend to get miles due from the various vendors in this promotion and the miles due from points.com to double them. I would estimate I have at least 40 hours invested in just trying to get the bonus miles to post.

It is absurd that Lissa has taken at least 3 lengthy vacations during this fiasco. She didn't have the courtesy to respond to my numerous messages, she never called, she didn't assign the duties to a coworker in her absence and she resolved nothing.

And I am a paying customer to points.com!!! I am beginning to question your company's sense of ethics, your regard for the customer and your lack of follow though. Please respond to me with a fair and equitable solution to my problem in light of how much of my time has been abused.

I thank each of you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,
XXX
