Yes, yes, and yes.

I (and a large number of other members) have redeemed DL awards from different MCR accounts all going to one DL account with no problems.

You could try to trade a DL award on coupon connection, but I'm not sure how many PC vouchers there are available. But you could always sell the DL code on eBay if that's what it comes down to.

Thank you, thank you and thank you. I'm heading to Oktoberfest in the next few days but as soon as I return I'll see what the value is on CC and Ebay. Finally something I can do with the Coke Rewards!

problem with MCR DL award codes being sold via eBay et al is that
DL can deduct the mileage or void any award tickets got with miles
obtained via eBay sellers, as it is in violation of DL T&Cs....

albeit you'll see alot of this going on; be assured DL monitors it and
MCR DL codes are traceable to origin.

So I can't sell them but can I "give" one to someone in CC and maybe they "give" me a gift too? That would OK, right?

Officially, no. Bartering (and no matter what you call it, what you describe is bartering) is also forbidden by Delta's T&Cs. It is functionally equivalent to selling.

That said, activities on CC should generally be much safer than on eBay, and in practice, bartering is a lot harder to catch.

Am I right back to waiting until they post something I actually need on MCR? I was so close a short time ago to finally finding a solution to the problem of "out of stock" situation at MCR.....grrrrr. Well thanks for all the input, I'll consider all the options and see where that leads me.

But unless DL buys the points off eBay from a seller, they'll have no idea what the MCR code is.

Kathiel, this will work fine--with Cepheid's note of caution. I would ask for 2 PC points per DL mile. PC cert.s come in 1000 & 5K with the occasional 10K & can be deposited into anyone's acct. fee-free.
How many MCR points (approx.) do U have--so I can help U. Please PM me if U don't want to post this publicly.

kathiel Sep 24, 2007 4:53 pm

I have over 1050 so the next thing I could get is the 3000 miles but I don't use Delta for anything. I have been hoping the PC points would come back, I have a friend who works at a large concert venue and he keeps me supplied in caps. With basketball season starting I will be at the limit each day entering them but nothing currently available that I want. I thought offering the Delta cert would be a solution but it seems there are some cautions I need to consider. I'll keep reading and listening to those who have done this before. Seems Ebay is a dumb idea but CC may be alright based on the conversation so far.

Kathiel, 3x 335 MCR = 1005 = 2550 DL miles which IMHO is a fair trade for 5K PC points. Or U can go for the 1180 MCR/ 3000 DL to sweeten the pot for a 5K trade.

thenelsons Sep 24, 2007 9:45 pm

wouldn't the 3000 DL miles equate to 6000 PC points at the 2 to 1 ratio you suggested?

Brendan Sep 24, 2007 11:09 pm

Yes, thenelsons, it would. That's why I called it 'sweetening the pot.' ;)
I was originally going to post, 'Ask 6K & accept a minimum of 5K after negotiations.

I thought the 3000 mile award might be worth someone wanting to trade for, now does anyone have what I need, a point certificate for PC, HH or AA? I'll guess I have to wait and see. Meantime I can't seem to stop entering these codes :).

I think offers involving trading belong in Coupon Connection, not in this forum.

I couldn't find CC in search?

AND I just got my first batch of 3000 DL miles from MCR. I noticed that to "buy" 3000 miles from DL is almost $89. I guess I just need to find codes on the cheap.
