MyPoints redemption problem
About a month ago I requested a Marriott certificate for 1000 points (1500 MyPoints). A couple days ago the order status changed from "pending" to "cancelled". I've emailed them but haven't gotten a reply.
Anyone else have a similar problem?

Funny you should post this as just today (about 2hrs ago)I came home to find 8 Alaska Air certs in my mailbox. These were cashed in from mypoints on May 23th.
My account kept showing them as pending and I had a confirmation number.
Ten days ago I sent them a nasty e-mail and they replied that there was " some sort of foul-up" and I would get them in 2 to 3 weeks. They also did mention that the order
request form stated delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.
Why it takes so long is beyond me.

i had done the sprint thing for 3k mypoints. points never did post, though. i sent them a carefully worded but forceful email, and sure enough, my points came through and they gave me 250 point "service issue" bonus.
i did think i noted that the offer was FCC-governed, being LD-related, but i never threatened a thing other than to change LD carriers. which i won't be doing for the time being right now, as long as my mypoints (that always does look redundant...) keep posting.

Ordered a Hilton transfer about 6 weeks ago. Never showed up. They asked for the HHonors account # again to make sure they had it right. Still no points!
Still missing a Marriott certificate, too, from months ago. I have gotten things that have been ordered since, but they can't get these two things right. They say don't worry about it and wait another 4 weeks. Makes no sense unless they just don't have them to send.

I've redeemed 1,000 Hilton HHonors points three times, and all three posted in about a week. I'm going to txfr the fourth 1,000 points in the morning. (Hopefully the 10 points from today's bonus mail will have credited, I'm 9 pts short of the fourth 1,000).
Maybe other partners just take a while.

I recently ordered two MyPoints certificates for Marriott miles, and sent an email to their customer service asking how long it would take. I politely explained that I needed the certificates to claim a Marriott reward I had been planning. I received an email from customer service stating that it could take 6-8 weeks for the certificates to come, but I got them about 3 weeks later, sent them to Marriott and had them posted within 3 days. Claimed my 714 award, and am in the process of getting a 713.
I may have been lucky, but I would suggest a follow up email to customer service (with a polite pleading!).

I've been redeeming MyPoints for Marriott certs for a long time with no problems. They usually came within ten days. That all changed in May. I ordered a cert in early May and the points sat in a "waiting to be redeemed" status forever. I e-mailed MyPoints and they said that it now takes up to thirty days for them to issue the cert and to e-mail them again after 30 days. On the 30th day they put the points back into regular status and didn't issue the cert so I e-mailed them and reordered. As of today I don't have the cert or an answer from them! What's going on here?

still waiting!
still no marriott certificate.
many emails sent in the past month........I even sent an email to United.........no answer there, either.
Husband still does not have the 1000 HH points, either. I guess it is a conspiracy.

I have ordered two Marriott 1000pts certificates in the past six weeks. The first one took almost five weeks to arrive. The second one took six days! Maybe they are having some growing pains from being taken over and soon things will straighten out? We can only hope

After they said they would "re-send" a $25 voucher to me (see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/001051.html ), I was very surprised that it arrived within about a week, but I think that will be the last physical voucher I request from them until they stop being so incompetent.
I put a HHonors redemption request about a week ago, and it's still marked as "Pending Processing" on MyPoints. However, there is a 1000 point credit marked "Intellipost Transfer" on my HHonors account. It has no date, so I have no idea when it happened.
It's sad that MyPoints site has no idea that the transfer has even occurred, but vastly better than having to constantly email them to get anything at all.

It's a miracle! My 1000 Marriott point showed up in the mail yesterday! After about 47 days +/-. MyPoints continues to surprise me?
