hey andrew....at least you got a referral or two! in my book, the conga died with me, and some of the others, who were totally skipped...

i'd be thankful for having only the referrals you have instead of my zero!

You should definitely contact your credit card company to see if you were billed multiple times; perhaps you hit a button more than once when your web response was slow.

Milesbar has had a few "problems". Things could be a little clearer with the Plat v. Gold credit. I have not seen anyting relating to a charter member bonus or any of that stuff. Has anyone of the first Plat's seen anything related to Charter Members?

Oh.....and if you sign up....use this please!

Clue 1: The little truste logo at the bottom of their front page is not a link to an official trust-e privacy statement. It is simply a fake logo that they copied and pasted on their server at http://www.milesbar.com/log_truste_seal.gif.
Displaying that image in this manner is a practice explicitly prohibited by trust-e, because it is essentially lieing to people that trust-e has approved this site's privacy policy.
selfdestrc had a good point and now it's obvious. His statements againts MilesBar mention the Trust-E logo that MilesBar had on their website. Today, I just happened to go back check for changes to their site. The one obvious change that caught my attention was the removal of the Trust-E logo from their website. Does this mean they were really trying to deceive new customers? I might have to say YES here....

Any news on MilesBar? I checked and it seems that you still cannot even download their namesake "bar."

I cancelled my membership, and I'm glad I used an Amex Private Payments number that doesn't last longer than 30 days, lest they try to extract another payment from me. I asked for a refund, but none was forthcoming.

Has anyone had a positive experience yet with MilesBar?

The Truste and BBBonline logos are still on their redeem page. I checked with both companies and milesbar is not listed with either and those logos are most likly fake.

(I've waited a few weeks already but the new posters aren't reading too far back in the thread to cover all the missed people.)
