A new message from Milesbar:

We are pleased to report to you the following progress at MilesBar:

(i) BannerViewer For Elite Gold
The BannerViewer will be available to download to Elite Gold members on May
28th. This is an exciting news for you as well since you earn BV Miles on
the surfing of all Elite Gold members that are in your referral network.

(ii) Agreement With A Major Ad Network
We have just signed an agreement with a major ad network that will provide
MilesBar with additional banner inventory. This comes at the right time
since the BannerViewer bar will be released to Elite Gold members next
month.

(iii) Increased Above and Beyond Bonus For Charter Members
The 3% Above and Beyond cash bonus for all Elite Platinum/Charter members on
your Level 1 has been increased to 10%. This means that now you will earn
10% cash bonus for all Platinum/Charter members in your level 1.

(vi) Elite Platinum Login Area
We are currently working on upgrading this area. The Elite Platinum/Charter
Member login area will reflect the latest stats and the cash commissions in
the coming days. Thank you for your patience.

Best Wishes,

MilesBar Charter Team

There was some other stuff in this message but it really wasn't too important. It just stated stuff like "we have a number of different advertisers" and also that they were interviewed by some internet web sites. I figured if I pasted the whole thing it would take up the whole page.

Currently I am a platinum member but I am on the fence. They recently took away all kinds of bonus miles, (2500 for 3 months, 5000 for 6 months, etc.) allow you to gain points for only 5 hours/day and you need a minimum of 25000miles before you can switch them to another airline. Doing the math, you would need to be online for almost two years before you could get 25,000. All this being said, I do think I'll stick it out a few more months and see how everything pans out. The curiousity of how this whole site will play out intrigues me. Well...check it out for yourself and if you sign up, please use me as a referal. Thanks.

I am so sorry...everything locked up every time I tried to submit my post. It seems all of them went through at once. Again sorry for the inconvenience.

Has anyone noticed that you can no longer get level 1 gold referrals. They seem to change their rules as too many show up in a given slot. This program is getting pretty stinky! The only way to get gold referrals is through your level 1 platinum referral. There is nothing you can do to get the next level referrals. Originally we were never told about a 5 hour limit nor any of this other stuff. This must be make up the rules as you go (by milesbar, that is). When did they take away the level 1 gold referrals? Anyone know? I think this is a dot.bomb in the making and we got sucked up!

I had this problem about a month ago, that is
that everyone started as a level 2 gold. I wrote to Sue about it and it was fixed on my account soon thereafter. I am sure as in my businedd that they could not have come up with every answer in the beginning so they are asking for input to make everything more user friendly, and they have made a few changes that I had suggested. I am upset about the loss of the bonuses every so often in lieu of the 10% above and beyond bonus. Most of my referral are gold not platinum so it will not be as valuable a perk in my case. I am hanging in there to see what happens when the gold bar is released, and I will take the option of the transfer of miles to my own accounts at 25K and not wait for the 50K unrestricted ticket. I have 147 in my downline and 15,200 miles in the account so I have found it to be worthwhile so far. I think that when the gold bar is released there will be more publicity out there and more signing up so I look for more in the downline to grow! Just my thoughts....

You can still join here now and get in on the downline miles!

Does anyone know if the loss of the mileage bonuses affects everyone or just those who signed up after a certain date.

It bothers me that I signed up under certain pretenses/advertised benefits. Now what I get isn't what I signed up for. Anyone know anything more about this??

Since everyone has some questions about the program and the changes over the past few months I took the liberty of inviting the people from Milesbar to come here to the boards and answer everyone's questions directly. They have agreed so look for them in the next few days and get your questions ready! I figured that this was the most direct way to get the info right from the horses mouth (so to speak). Meanwhile keep racking up those miles!

Wouldn't it be "better" to actually start another thread under SPAM specifically for the purpose of Milesbar answering questions??

With referrals happening and such, it seems there are about 5 different lines of discussions going on in this one thread.

Just a suggestion!
