SU lounges SVO
I've done a search of Flyertalk for info on Aeroflot lounges but there is nothing recent.
Have my first Business Class flight on SU coming up. To HKG via SVO.
SU seem to have around four or five lounges in SVO. We have a good four hours in transit (which i’m thankful for as SU seem to loose bags quite frequently). Has anyone experienced their lounges and can suggest a ‘better’ one?

You can go to any Aeroflot lounge in the transfer area of terminals D, E and F if your next flight departs from one of these. However, as you enter they will inform you (more or less politely) that there are lounges closer to your gate.
My personal hit list at SVO:
1. Space lounge in terminal E (not an Aeroflot lounge, use priority pass)
2. Galaxy lounge in terminal E (only Aeroflot lounge with Windows, can get a decent Thai massage ($) and shower)
3. Moscow lounge in terminal D (aeroflot lounge, often crowded)
I really dislike all lounges in terminal F due to lack of windows and overcrowding between 5 and 7:30 pm.

Well, the best current SVO SU lounges are in terminal D (which is a long way from the F gates for Hong Kong). Still, having a long layover (and maybe anyway arriving in D) I would stay in D in either "St. Petersburg" (most new) or "Moscow" lounge. But remember to leave the lounge at least 40 minutes before departure time for а 10-15 minute walk to the gate.

I have lounge hopped a few times, not really hassled nor not let in. They do tell you promptly that "this is Term. D so you should go to the lounge in F", but if I say "OK, I'll start here and leave early enough to get to F", they let you in. Once I asked "is the lounge in F as nice as here?" and they looked at me like I was crazy to suggest not all lounges are equally nice. That time I believed here and wen to the one she suggested and it was dark and not very nice.
Anyway, they are much improved from my first visits in 2014/2015... I've even slept in 2 of them due to long layovers, --- watch out when booking as the longer layovers often show up first, then you scroll down and finally see a 2 hour layover option, FOR THE SAME PRICE.

I wish SU would do something about that, and perhaps create a premium lounge for intercontinental business class pax, gold and platinum members only. The ones in F is basically a gulag.
If you are spending a long time in SVO and don't have a russian visa consider the transit hotel ( where Snowden stayed) or if you can enter, Mastercard has a nice lounge pre security.
Note : If you plan to take a shower, they will give you a towel, but don't expect soap. The ground experience really does not match the on board product which I consider to be good.

Agree: lounges at SVO are quite poor despite the recent improvements.
However, in my experience the shower kit includes shampoo, shower get, towel, slippers (last tried in May at Galactica in terminal E).

For what's its worth the "real" lounge which is private and exclusive is at the VIP section of SVO, which is a separate entrance. BMW 7/ AUDI drive you to the plane. Domestic flights only.
Years ago - it was possible on international flights until the authorities changed the rules. I think its still possible on international fights, except you need to be escorted the whole way.

I will be transiting on the way to BKK in Economy, Flying Blue Platinum so I have lounge access. Do any of the Aeroflot lounges also take Priority Pass? I will have two companions with me and I can, obviously, only take one into the lounge. So I hope to take the second one in on Priority Pass. Or can I purchase access for the second guest? It's a 4 hour 15 minute layover so it's probably worth it.

I fly through SVO about 20 times per year. The lounges there are generally pretty bad EXCEPT for one: the Mastercard Lounge in Terminal E. Even if I am flying from Terminals D or F, I get to the airport early enough to go to the Mastercard Lounge. You can get free access with certain types of Mastercard credit / debit cards. For other Mastercards you have to pay RUB 1,500 per guest, but it is totally worth it. They keep the riff raff out so it's not crowded like all the other lounges. And it has its own restaurant by Ginza Group and you can order hot food and alcohol for no extra charge.
See the full details to check if you have access here: https://www.svo.aero/en/services/bus...lls/mastercard

Hi Concerto
If I've correctly understood the type of Mastercard you have, you would have access to the Mastercard Lounge at SVO by paying RUB 1500 (about $23) per person. If your card had "World Elite" on it, you could get in for free.

Well, I've been through SVO yesterday and I was able to guest in one companion, as per the benefits of Platinum. For the second guest, they happily accepted my Priority Pass. Staff were really friendly and helpful and they let us all come back in when our onward flight to BKK picked up almost 3 hours delay.
About the lounge, I thought it was quite good actually. It was located near gate 31 and was very busy when we entered but calmed down later on. The only thing I didn't like was some idiot sneezing near the open food, so I didn't touch any of that. The hot food, which was enclosed in circular urns, was quite good mostly.
Later, I discovered that there was an upstairs which was quieter. They had one of my favourite Russian dishes, a small cold salad of pickled herring topped with grated beetroot, which I think they call a "fur coat"! You get it in a number of Soviet themed restaurants in Moscow, and I order it every time. There is a premium drink section at the bar and the girls are pushing it quite hard, so you have to watch out what you're ordering. For example, two out the four beers on tap came with a charge.
