So the website now reflects my status extension until 31 March 2023.
What I'm not sure about is renewal. The website says one needs 540 QPoints within a 12-month period, which, if I go on this trip I'm thinking about next week, I will have easily (by more than 100 QPoints, in fact), in the period March 2022 to January 2023.
So if I do that, will my renewed platinum expire in January 2024, or in March 2024? I'm not sure.
January would be awkward. I often have a big international trip in the first days of January, but sometimes its a few days earlier, and sometimes a few days later, depending on how the days of the week fall that year. So if my tier expires in the first few days of the year, sometimes the big trip will be just a few days too late.

So I just received (through email) the news that my platinum has been extended until 2 January 2024.
This is a bit surprising, given that my QPoints are almost 100 below what I thought was needed. I have some MH flights that haven't been credited, but even with those, I'm still short.
However, I haven't complained.

yup just logged in to find the same news of extension till Dec 2023. Let's see if it true or just an IT glitch by tomorrow..
if true then it will definitely sway my decision to stick with QR this year for some of my flights even though i'll be paying slightly more (I guess this is what QR wants with these status extensions)

Mine still says 31 March.
It's great for those who get extended of course but after introducing reduced thresholds and making it easy to earn the qpoints, and the final final warnings, they might hack off a few people who have spent money on flights (and qpoints in the case of one poster here) if they just go and extend everyone again anyway. Covid restrictions are long over and the flights are full. Further extensions seem unnecessary

Mine (Platinum) still says 31.03.23, however I already re-qualified. In my wife's account (until now Platinum) says 31.12.23. She didn't requalified with the lower threshold. So I assume I will re-qualify for an entire year by tomorrow (Platinum valid until 31.03.24). However wonder if my wife's new "valid until" date of 31.12.23 sticks or a IT clitch...

Are they seriously extending people again? I've been fighting with them for months over all this in many ways (status match qpoints, missing qpoints, and now I've spent an additional £390 in qpoints after the original £2000 they tricked me into).. happy for you all but feels terrible actually trying to requalify, what's the point?

Just had my gold extended until 31/12/23 as well , No comms fro QR as of yet , no surprises , noticed as I looked at my updated APP the virtual card had the new revised date on it . Happy with that so I can use benefits with BA for rest of year . I doubt I will be booking anything with QR due to current inflated prices , but gratefully accepted , shame the comms was not so slick .

I waited longingly for an email from QRPC for an extension email for over a month until yesterday to book my flights scheduled for travel in May. Since I didn't get any, I went ahead and booked my tickets on Emirates J last night. I wake up today and the first thing I see on EF is QR Status extension.
grr.
