that can easily mean 38 out +180 back (or the contrary) = 218 new tickets on other airlines to do pay, 218 compensation to pay. And you save what? Fuel costs and landing charges? I don’t think so.

Just thinking how many of my QR flights have been 100% rammed whilst others almost empty (37 from SIN-DOH springs to mind as my favourite flight).
Can't remember any flight 'half full' oddly! One extreme or the other. (I know that's not the case, just how it seems).

Sometimes you get half full between LHR and DOH.

Doha to Amman was full last night in F and Y. Was showing wide open in the morning. Maybe a bunch of miss connects from an earlier flight. Most people were connecting.

AMM/BEY are the new hot spots for Qataris to party (which is forbidden in Qatar) since they can no longer fly to DXB/AUH. Wednesday/Thursday flights are full. Others......not so much.

QR really should consider some sales from North America to help fill the seats in both cabins (Y and J), TK did this routinely last year during the downturn, you could fly US/Canada to East Asia in J for around $2000 USD.
At the moment the cheapest I can find is YUL to BKK for $2700 USD.

OK, so I've done 4 segments in the past couple of weeks, and while J has been between 60-90% full, Y has been really quiet. I didn't think to ask about loads, but on the evening flight out of KUL on an A346, I peeked behind the curtain and there were fewer than 10 pax in the 9 row section behind J. It was pretty spooky all told.
And here's a tweet from a BBC presenter who was in F on the A380 to DOH a couple of days ago, showing the entire forward cabin empty...

I know it's not exactly peak season, but these loads must be hurting QR. They seem to be doing a better job filling J than Y at the moment...
