Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

So if the 77Ls are basically done, that bodes well for LAX, too, no?

Well of course it's now change back to 2-2, the day before the flight. Does it ever change back in the last 24 hours??

I think I read on here that you could find out about an equipment change at the gate so don’t give up hope yet!

I can relate. My plane was swapped for a A333 from a 777. Still a 1 month away.. You can also go to http://www.qrcargo.com and check the routing as well..Very reliable . As with any airlines swaps will occur...

My QR849 flight on 20th Dec has Qsuites. But they still have plenty of time to swap it for an A330 until then...

Would also like to know this.

I'm hoping to fly end of August from DOH to KUL or DPS but would like to fly with the Qsuites, so hoping to know which one has more chance.

Alternatively can cut my trip a day early and fly to SIN with the Qsuites.

I am doing LAX-DOH on 5/1 and DOH-LAX on 5/13 and both are showing as QSuites. Fingers Xd!

I currently have my first Q-Suites flight booked as part of a 4-leg trip each with a different config: B787, A380, B77W Q-Suites, and finally B77W 2-2-2. I'm looking forward to seeing how the dice roll when time actually comes to fly (hoping the A380 doesn't change, I love the bar and last time got an op-up to F...)

Curious if anyone knows if there are Q-Suites on the YUL - DOH segment? ....and/or if they will be changed up in the near future?

For the first part, check ExpertFlyer. For the second part, good chance of it. (Both are points that have been repeatedly made in this thread.)

Well, it looks like both H and F keep flying (H returned from AKL and F left to AKL first hours of this morning). AKL seems to be the last long range non-qsuite destination, with H and F doing the rotation for at least the next 30 days, according to qrcargo (77K shows up just 5 times in the next month). I don’t know what to expect for my flights early next month.

That's disappointing. You would think QR would harmonize the last couple in relatively short order, but who knows how that stacks up against scheduling etc. Not feeling as confident about my late May flights now either if the recent trend of reburbs is over.

FWIW, I find the 359 J seats different from, but equally comfortable to, QSuites. Just my opinion, though. IMO the 359 seat, itself, is more comfortable, but more privacy in the QSuites.
