Seems like EZE is not included in the offer this time.

BKK is £1000 and PVG £1100 from ARN.

OT: Background picture used for advert

Hi,

Did anyone notice that for this 2for1 promotion, QR (or AA) used each others promotion background picture - the one with 2 beach deckchairs looking towards the sea.

Ex-ARN had the best fare for the flights to HAN I ended up booking. BA have some good connections there too for the positioning flights (from LCY or LHR).

I managed to find decent connections in DOH as well (a lot of options I looked at with other start/end points seemed to have 5-8 hours overnight in DOH which would be pretty brutal I'd have thought).

Glad I'm not the only one who does silly things like this - positining to Europe for one of these flights.
We're going out of Madrid, which had the best fares/connection times for our itinerary. MXP was slightly cheaper, but either long lay overs, or an A320 for the MXP-DOH leg

By the way, the promotion has been extended for a day.

Just secured yet another 2-for-1 bargain to Perth in November ex MUC, €4205 imstrad of €8031 with CX via LHR-HKG. So just cancelled the CX and even with the penalty for canx it saved a lot

Last year , around this time
we saw much promotions , like 1-1 free or 10% off fro amex card holder or 25% off like that

Will be same this year too ??

Just hoping , as many travel plans are coming up later this year and early next year.

Thanks

I haven't seen any 2 for 1 for a while. They have had sales (I received an email yesterday), but the fares are not that low - between 1500-2000 for most of Asia, more for Australia from the UK.

In Italy in August they ran the 2 for 1 promotion for a few days- good deals to TYO for example- certainly though flights must be fuller than last year as I have noticed fares up a bit and also very full planes in C.

In Spain we had it in May and July, each time for a week or slightly less.
I hope to see it again before the end of the year.

Thanks. Looks like I need to subscribe to the Spanish and Italian versions on the QR newsletters to catch these.

It wasn't 2 for 1 but it might as well have been. In mid September we had a sale here in the US where the prices were less half the normal J prices. Booked AUS-DFW-DOH-KHI for two of us in March. Haven't flown QR since 2011. Hope the inflight service/amenities and DOH lounge haven't slid much since then.
