07NOV would be much better.

thus the reasoning behind why I have suggested in a previous post that multiple meetings take place (perhaps on different days) to try and bring together a larger contingent of FT'ers...
Some may be able to make it to both whilst others might only be able to make it in their city of residence.

Saturday, Tuesday or Wednesdays seem to have the best availability of cheapies (SYD-BNE-SYD) as a day trip. That is appealing to me. Fridays and Sundays are getting pricey and look unlikely.

Right, you're invited along with the family. There'll be plenty of Plats available so we should be able to fit everybody in

Thanks for the invite... We're all at least oneWorld Sapphires, so could amble on into the QP without having to have anyone put down their glass. My arse has graced many of the frayed seats in the SYD QP, as well as the newer ones in BNE. Also, I will be in Australia in November, then again with the family in December. The earlier you Blokes set a date, the better for me to see if I can break away from the important business of making $$ to join a toast or two!

Can I suggest that a date be put down. I am pretty sure that there will be no one date which would work for everyone, so just going around it trying to find that golden date will prob just lead to it never getting arranged.
I would stil suggest that a saturday is good (a) for cheap fares and (b) for making a longer more worthwhile trip

Sign me up as a maybe as long as it's later in November or early December (or in Melbourne). I'm arriving in my new home town at the beginning of Nov and would love to get together with some or all of you. Oh, and I'll buy the first round.

Post or PM when you know your travel plans and we'll sort something out. I have to do a RTW before the end of the year, probably the last week of Nov and the first week of Dec. Other than that I'm here most of the time.

QF WP I think we need you to set a date(s) and venue(s).
I'll come if I am across the ditch or can easily make it over, although schedule is rapidly filling up. SYD or MEL is more convenient than BNE for me.

As for the BNE meet, it's a bit far for me to travel on my own money.
My work trips are always planned at the last minute, but if I happen to be on that side of the country I could probably pop up to BNE. I haven't been to BNE since I was 5! Current plans are for two trips to SYD between October 15 and November 12, but these things tend to change.Steve

Also, good to be mentioned in such esteemed company, particularly the infamous GoldFlyer

Craigo, excellent suggestion. Shillard, pull in thadocta to help you - that'll giving him something different to do rather than bushfires at present. Otherwise, I'm sure that og or Dave Noble could lend a hand
Kiwi Flyer had suggested to me by PM that everyone was waiting for me (as Convenor of most of the previous QF FT meetings) to put together dates, but my recent illness has put me into catch-up mode. I am still organising dates for work trips around Australia - I will separately post them for just meetings with other FT'ers (unless by some fluke they dovetail into the dates that others mention). I'll be in PER, ADL, MEL, SYD, and CBR within the next 8 weeks (final trips for the year to see my clients), so watch this space.
