I too feel honoured to be mentioned in such distinguished company! At the moment I live about 10 minutes from the airport; next month I'm moving to the other side of the river and about 5 minutes from the airport. Either way, it's quite convenient.
As for the BNE meet, it's a bit far for me to travel on my own money.
My work trips are always planned at the last minute, but if I happen to be on that side of the country I could probably pop up to BNE. I haven't been to BNE since I was 5! Current plans are for two trips to SYD between October 15 and November 12, but these things tend to change.
