Is that Martyr to the cause or you trying not to attract attention to your conspicuous comsumption. I hope you've told the door staff that you are about to be a passenger in need of special boarding assistance.
Do either QP's have fresh celery for the all important Bloody Mary?

"Is that Martyr to the cause or you trying not to attract attention to your conspicuous comsumption."
Well, it's all very similar isn't it
"I hope you've told the door staff that you are about to be a passenger in need of special boarding assistance. "
Heh. I have told them to make sure that a glass of champagne is waiting for me for when I have completed my climb up the mountain of stairs to the Upper Deck and fall into my exit row skybed at 16K in a few minutes
"Do either QP's have fresh celery for the all important Bloody Mary?"
I saw no celery and apparantly bloody Mary and her friends are leaving on the LAX AA codeshare service

Wow! AA beats QF in the F lounge wars
I never thought that I would live to say this, but the AA F lounge has nicer liquor selection than QF!!!!! Only marginally and still a good bit worse than BA F lounges, but thanks to a strong flock of Gray Goose Vodka (4 different kinds) and generally matching the other spirits (AA has Bombay Sapphire gin, Glenlivet 12 yo, but no decent cognac). Also Heidsieck champagne (both French and Sonoma -- an interesting study in contrasts). How the mighty QF F has fallen. Better not go over to the SQ lounge in SYD, that is stocked with XO and Dom. Or was last year.

"Any funny looks as you staggered around the spirits selection with a notebook and pen? "
Not that I could focus on ... Once onboard I decided to take it easy on the alcohol and stuck to the Charles Heidseick which they served immediately I staggered into the upper deck cabin and continued to ply towards Mel. They did do a nice breakfast in J . Quite pleasant
As far as AA comparisons go.. My experience of AA F lounges ( the few that there are ) is that their stock is not as good...perhaps it does depend what you drink to what makes it good. For me, choice of vodka is not very important. It would be nice to see some JW Blue label replacing the Black. Onboard AAs service however, even in premium cabins, sucks ime. I do agree that they do have a long way to go to match the quality of BA lounges, especially in London
Skybeds are great. Just get a bulkhead or exit so that you get a video screen that is fully moveable

Well done Dave :-: :-: :-: Noble. I will report on BNE F lounge tomorrow enroute to SIN. If I have time for a quick pop into the SIN F lounge before heading over the other terminal to connect to MH flight to KUL, I check the offering there. Otherwise will report back on Friday for SIN F lounge.
