There should be enough WP/P1/CL in our group who are actually flying to get everyone in by published rules, so hopefully it isn't a huge issue.
Might be able to drum up a couple of P1s from CBR via PM...

recently I showed my P1 encrusted BP to the agent and deliberately entered the QC and they actually exclaimed "But.. but.. you can go into the J side!" - I had not been in the QC side for years, and wanted to see if it had changed much (it hadn't).
Since QF is aware of the event and from what QF WP posted some time ago they may have some corporate folks there I am sure they probably could also just let anyone in with a VA BP and possibly QFF status, with the reasoning to try and woo those folks back to the hot pink and orange side. Heck I was in ADL QC a few months back and sat near a bunch of travel agents being schoozed by the ADL station manager/GM(whatever) in there....
Or there's just a line of us waiting at reception with our WP/P1 cards out. "You coming for the FT do? What's your handle?" (check list) "OK, this one's with me"(to desk agent). NEXT!

RichardMEL, the process has been in place for many years. I supply the QF host with the real names of attendees and a list is behind the Reception Desk. They check that against your QFF card ? BP (whatever you hand over). They are well aware that a lot of us have status with both carriers (as well as *A), so for the past 2 years, the hosts were writing notes during our discussions. I expect this year will be no different.
