Ran into this on a J->F upgrade HKF-JFK a few years ago. My wife's posted correctly but mine did not. Resolved with one phone call, though I did have to email them the original e-receipt from purchase.

my parents are on a round the world ticket D class. they will join me for Maldives and also we will drive to Banff together (6 of us) from YVR. it fits perfectly with my schedule.
earns almost 70K miles in Alaska + AA (AS gives 100% premium bonus on CX I class) and I am both alaska mvp 75k gold and AA exec plat.

as only gives 125% eqm for cx i class and 110% for cx r class.
aa gives 150% eqm for both cx i and r class. it is actually easier to earn aa exec plat than as mvp 75k unless one flies J cabin on ba.
how as gives 225% for cx i class with 125% status bonus. and 110% for cx r class with 125% status bonus.
while aa gives 125% for cx i class with 120% status bonus. and 100% for r class with 120% bonus.
since i value as miles 1.9c pm and aa 1.4cpm. my return is cut in half when i credit i.class to aa instead of as. however, i need to credit enough j class ticket to aa in order to get eqd.
it makes the calculation very difficult.

I have had a very negative experience getting AA credit on original booking class on CX. Outbound posted correctly, but return did not. Took several months and a FedEx'd letter with evidence of original booking class to get it done. I think there is a thread specifically on this.

Thanks to you as well - I actually found some dates in Jan ex-YVR at $1880 CAD in PE on BA to BOM that will work better for me. Long stops at LHR, but whatever. Time to do some math and see how close I'll be to EXP before buying this.
