I think was meaning fly into SIN and drive across border to JHB. I do this all the time great Premium fares to SIN and then stay in JHB. Border crossing takes about 30 minutes to an hour from time you pull up till time through on other side. Total time to hotel from SIN about 1-1.5 hours depending on time of time.
Then I do flying with MH out of JHB within Asia. KUL is easy to use and has a great train taking you start from terminal to town. Immigration very easy.
BTW I started doing this because can book a suite at hotel in JHB (double tree) for less than a cheap room in SIN. Saves even more money with all those QR J tickets I have to SIN.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I just flew SIN to DOH with a departure tomorrow to JFK on a fare I got a few months back. JHB is a better place to stay and of course much cheaper. Two Nights in Double Tree is cheaper than One night in many of the hotels near Changi.Immigration depends upon the time of the day and the Singapore side is very sleek and fast.I have been using Uber in Singapore and it is helpful.
MH has some good Y and J fares and I credit them to my QR account, as I never got much for them on my AA EXP account. All in all Malaysia is a nice experience, also DT at KL is excellent and very reasonable.

A lot of fares seem pulled. Where there was previously lots of 950 fares to SIN they are now gone, incidentally it appears they coincide with the exclusions for the MasterCard code, at least in June. Plenty available early June.

edit: CPH fares appears before 21 June. Seems as if pulled in the mastercard exclusions period.

fare advertised on web and in email incorrect/never posted?
so I received an email today offering sale fares of 1099 EUR return from Dublin (I have the email and can provide a screenshot if necessary)
The link it contained directs one to http://www.qatarairways.com/global/e...cid=EMIE306790 where the same fare is shown.
however according to expertflyer the cheapest fare posted by QR for that city pair (RJHQP8ZX) is well above that price?
Do QR make these mistakes often? Is there any point looking for this fare or calling QR?
On a related topic the same email highlights a '+qatar' promotion which SEEMS to suggest that any stopover longer than 12 hours (even a voluntary one' will result in a free hotel night paid for by the Qatar tourism authority - i Know the QR-provided stopovers had all sorts of TS and Cs .... i sthis a different/separate offer?
