CAI-JFK might work better because the CAI-DOH segment is officially first class on QR but business class price. Not sure how it credits on AA or other airlines, but on QR you get first class mileage from it.

There fares are all similar and I will post a copy in the OP. The best way to find them is QR.com (which isn't saying much). Kayak will occasionally pull it if you do the +/- 3 day search. If you are looking for east coast try PHL instead as JFK is hard for availability.

these fares are just insane... at times you can get 5 CPM per EQP... we are talking EXP status under 5000 in paid Business... insane! (plus 4 AA segments, possible on HNL or other routes)

Can someone let me know what is the best way to position yourself for these flights (if you are based in USA)?
Are you planning on using a separate paid or award ticket to position yourself in CMN/CAI/etc for the originating & return...or some other approach?
