It might be a Matrix job to find the routes you want especially on non-QR codeshared flights.

Except for a seasonal route to AKL, I don't think QF flies internationally from PER.

So just checking the routing table on OSLPER QR IJGSP4PX (the cheapest filed on the city pair in I class), only OSL-DOH-PER is acceptable.

Code:
OSL-PER THU-05NOV15 QR
TAXES/FEES NOT INCLUDED

           GBP BASIS MAX

SPECIFIED ROUTE: 1111
OSL-DOH-PER
We have to go up to D class for an extra 400ish GBP before we see routes via HKG allowed.

Code:
OSL-PER THU-05NOV15 QR
TAXES/FEES NOT INCLUDED
ADULT FARES
CX FARE FARE C AP MIN/ SEASONS...... MR GI D
           GBP BASIS MAX

SPECIFIED ROUTE: 4195

OSL-DOH-HKG-PER

This is the premium fare deals forum
What I did to force a flight on CX through HKG was book ARN-DOH-HKG-ADL (Adelaide), since Qatar doesn't launch the DOH-ADL flight until 1 May, then book a separate short hop to wherever you need to go in Australia (in my case MEL which is fortunately close by). Also works to CNS (Cairns) if you're looking for something further north.

However, if crediting to BA, be careful on the outbound as QR will try to force you on a ADL-KUL segment operated by MH's I class, which earns 0 tier points.

Right now I'm easily able to find the same route MAD-DEL/DEL-MIA for around USD 2100. The 1600 fares might be around (matrix says they are..) but you'll need to play with the dates a bit.
Thanks....that's helpful.

practically any date between now and April 30, for approximately 20.000 SEK. (lowest I found was 19.995). Sample dates April 22-29.

No, layovers are not permitted in the fare rules, but it's possible to schedule in long layovers to my understanding. I believe someone else has posted the fare rules in this thread already.

I think it is just about over. I've been playing with positioning flights (which were really not available) and didn't buy and now the tickets will be $1500 more (for 2). Not worth it. Just have to wait for the next sale.

Yep. It looks that way, too.
Hopefully BA brings back that OSL-Sydney route sale again.

Pulled the trigger as well
ARN DOH BKK DOH CDG over Easter, leaving on maundy Thursday and back 2 weeks later, £1800 for 2 tix.
Booked with Amex travel for the double MR
Routing is easier as we've got to fly back to CDG to pick up Junior from the grandparents, and flight timing on the ARN CDG route means an extra overnight. So doh cdg it is

There were some interesting deals - OSL-MLE for £830 and OSL/ARN-SIN for £820 stood out as two particularly good deals. OSL-CMB for £1000 was good but can't eclipse FCO-CMB (UL) for £855 which has been there for all year.

My understanding is that people living in Norway do not tend to travel in J or F—it's not seen as necessary, even if they can afford it. However there is plenty of Y demand.

This creates a problem for airlines who don't have a dedicated subfleet for Scandinavia [i.e., all of them]. You have too many J seats and not enough Y seats.

You can either oversell Y and upgrade a few people, or drop the price on J. Or leave the seats empty. (Or hope that the inbound passengers to Norway will be strongly oriented towards J to make up for the imbalance.)

It seems that the best option is to lower the price of J seats a bit, but only on certain routes.

The best deal is AA miles here, 60k/80k miles for business/first to Europe, 62.5k/72.5k to the US, each way for saver awards.
