QR Global Sale Fares

QR has a sale every couple weeks, instead of a new thread for each fare this can serve as a mega thread.

Current round trip fares for travel June 1 - July 10, 2015 on the outbound leg.

      JUDGEMENT.

I've done this before, and the CAI-DOH leg credits to AA at 150%, the DOH-JFK credits at 125%.

QR in all of business classes earns on AA: 125% award miles and 1.5*EQM.
QR in all of first classes earns on AA: 150% award miles and 1.5*EQM.

As a Plat or EXP with AA CMB-JFK r/t would be $0.0292 RDM, $0.0438 EQP, and $0.0657 EQM.

There fares are all similar and I will post a copy in the OP. The best way to find them is QR.com (which isn't saying much). Kayak will occasionally pull it if you do the +/- 3 day search. If you are looking for east coast try PHL instead as JFK is hard for availability.

these fares are just insane... at times you can get 5 CPM per EQP... we are talking EXP status under 5000 in paid Business... insane! (plus 4 AA segments, possible on HNL or other routes)

Can someone let me know what is the best way to position yourself for these flights (if you are based in USA)?

Are you planning on using a separate paid or award ticket to position yourself in CMN/CAI/etc for the originating & return...or some other approach?
