What really annoys me is that prices are so unfair in different countries. The sale fares from Europe to Australia are 2200 Euro and the sale fares from Australia to Europe are 4400 Euro. Same flights, just different order.
It seems a universal airline rule that Aussies can be ripped off.

Could I please ask how I could bring up a OSL-DOH-HKG-SYD routing?
When I search OSL-SYD on the QR website this routing does not come up on the options. Only OSL-DOH-SYD, but I'd rather route through HKG.
I've tried using OTA's and skyscanner & hipmunk but those won't bring it up either.

So just checking the routing table on OSLPER QR IJGSP4PX (the cheapest filed on the city pair in I class), only OSL-DOH-PER is acceptable.

[QUOTE=Calchas;25666114]Prices are set based on what the market will tolerate, nothing else. There's no fairness in the system. Aussies are willing to pay more than the Scandinavians, so the price is higher. On the flip side it's even more expensive from LON.
I am based in Sydney and what I'm doing is taking an award fare to OSL, then flying back with the QR sale (after a bit of a holiday) then flying back up to OSL on the return. Then waiting for another sale (BA perhaps) to fly back out. With exOSL to SYD being half the price of the exSYD to OSL, I consider it two holidays for the price of one.

Having real trouble with the multi-city option on the QR website. Google Flights seems to give me the decent routings that I want but there is no way to book them directly from Google Flights and the QR website won't show up the routings.
Can anyone recommend a different way of going about booking this?

By the way, for those having trouble with US routing, return to the US is quite possible, originating in Europe.
For example:
MAD-DOH-DEL
Then
DEL-DOH-MIA/JFK
Prices out at around $1600.
Double open jaw like return as BKK-DOH-MIA also prices out similarly.
Might be a great run if you can position in MAD/ARN/CPH.
Prices out of Scandinavia are cheaper by about $200.

Also noted a lot of the sale fares now have significantly more restrictive fare rules - e.g. FRA-SYD permits FRA-DOH-SYD only which is a shame

I did a multi city search on matrix. Once I saw the price, I did the same search on google flights. Orbitz managed to show me the itinerary with the right price. Of course, your return date (DEL-JFK) has to be within 30 days. If you make it 31, it jumps to 2800.
Right now I'm easily able to find the same route MAD-DEL/DEL-MIA for around USD 2100. The 1600 fares might be around (matrix says they are..) but you'll need to play with the dates a bit.

Managed to book it by changing from Google Flghts UK to the Google Flights USA version. It then gave an option to book directly on Orbitz.
Apart from some phantom availability on some routings it all worked okay.
