Yeah...but even if s/he isn't, at least s/he is anonymous, and probably (hopefully) doesn't work at the TSA. There will always be a number of people like him/her who blindly support authorities. We DO have rights at the checkpoint - they may be limited, but we don't lose our citizenship.

The KHIAI T-shirt I wear thru the checkpoints says on the front:

"The Bill of Rights still applies at airport checkpoints despite TSA's assertion to the contrary."

On the back it says:

"Take the Homeland Pledge:

1. I promise to never question authority.

2. I promise to never bring up my rights.

*Brought to you by the Ministry of Homeland Security."

I wear that shirt for the very reason (besides thinking Kippie's an idiot) to remind those clowns that we still have rights.

Have you gotten SPOT'd or referred to SSSS for that shirt? Just curious.

Never had issues with it, even with SPOT. I typically get a lot of laughs from TSA. A 3 striper at IAD laughed his tail off and asked to take a picture of it on his phone.

Overall, it's been well received. I just go thru security and wear it. I'm never the one to call attention to it.

Given the last sentence of the post, I can only presume that it is sarcastic and satirical.

Along the same lines, I saw this in Francine's blogm from tsa tso ny:

"'Why doesn't the TSA general counsel do something to prevent TSA employees from asking to copy down a passenger's identification when he/she requests a complaint form?'

Because we are allowed to! We have the right to ask you for your ID at any time while you are transitting through the CP.
Of course, we have yet to hear ANYTHING Francine on the viability of the Privacy Act when the TSA does this.

Speaking of which, was the complaint against JetBlue and the TSA screener by the gentleman who wore the shirt written in Arabic ever adjudicated?

In flame warrior terms, she is what you call a grenade. Post something that you know will get folks attention and get them riled up. Then you sit back and watch the aftermath and never post again.

I thought it blindingly obvious that he/she was. But if some here missed that, I'm quite sure the TSA drones on the blog did too.

It was my initial reaction as well. However, given TSA's abuses, I wouldn't put it past some there to actually believe that.
