This is the status of the fleet as far as I can tell, as of 31MAR15 based on http://www.srilankan.com/en_uk/flying-with-us/fleet and http://www.planespotters.net/Airline/SriLankan-Airlines.
Please update this wikipost if you have new/better information.
Total longhaul fleet: 67% chance of horizontal flat beds (for all J seats) - 10 aircraft of 15
Apparently the horizontal flat beds aircraft are not dedicated to any routes (including LHR) and, of course, last minute substitutions can always happen.
Future plans for 100% horizontal flat beds
The 333s on order are slated to replace the 342s, which will not be upgraded. It is unclear as to what are the plans for the 29% of the 332 fleet that have the old recliner seats, and therefore whether UL will ever guarantee a horizontal flat bed with your business class purchase.

ife was dire... loop system on a tiny screen. while it was a daytime flight, everyone in business class wanted to sleep so the shades were down and the lights off, but without any amenity kit the glare from the three tv screens at the front of the cabin was noticeable... fine while it was displaying the flight map, but then it would shoot to an advertisement on a white background and it lit up the whole place.
service was great, but the food was disappointing... and there was no trolley service where you could mix and match, although it was breakfast so maybe that's why it was different.

A340/A330
I just purchased a r/t ticket in C, BKK-CMB-BKK.
BKK-CMB is on a A340 and shows 24 C seats, so I'm assuming I'm lucky to get one of the upgraded ones. ^
CMB-BKK is an A330 with only two rows in C. Is that the one remaining 'old'
A330?
Looking forward to the flights! Has anybody tried the "exclusive check-in service" at the "Silk Route"?

We checked in through the 'Silk Route' in Colombo, if that is the one you're asking about.
We were the only ones there at that time. 2 guys took all our baggage off us and put it through the scanner.
Very quick. Someone takes everything off you and processes it all while you sit around. And after, they escort you directly through to the lounge.
We had bought about 10 necklaces (costume jewellery) and they were in gift boxes. Had to open it up, and show them the invoice.
Just make sure you have the credit card used to pay for the airline ticket.

re credit card at check-in... at bkk I was asked to sign a waiver against fraud even though I produced the credit card used to make the booking. not entirely sure why. (but on the positive side I was automatically given a fast track pass for departures... something I'd previously had to fight for)

Warning, not all the A330's have the new lie-flat seat. I just flew CDG-CMB (waiting in the Lotus Lounge as I write this) and rego ending in -LD does not have the new seats, pretty horrific recliners for 10 hours, needless to say absolutely no sleep. I am pretty disappointed because I was advised this flight would indeed have the new seats.....

Service in the air was fine (first time I've ever seen an airline that offers either hot or cold towels), but trying to find the UL lounge was very difficult (I believe they were using a temporary one, which was up an elevator with absolutely no signage whatsoever).

SriLankan business class CDG to CMB
I am planning on flying SriLankan at the end of July business class CDG-CMB.
Does anyone know which business class lounge they use at CDG ?
Also, is there any way to know which plane we will be flying....hoping that we'll have the new seats.

How to use Flysmiles points
My husband and I have both have 12K flysmiles points (srilankan airlines) and expiring in Dec. Is there any use or transfer out to other points? We are in Canada and no plan visit asia before the end of the year. I don't see any way to redeem for products or donate in their website.
