According to the Radisson Goldpoints FAQ:
Due to legal constraints, the Radisson Gold Rewards Program is only available to residents in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Residents outside of the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean can receive 500 airline miles per stay with one of twenty-three participating airlines simply by showing their frequent flyer card at check-in.

I doubt whether you will find much support in FlyerTalk for the airlines/hotels to terminate their frequent flier/guest programs in accordance with the terms of conditions and legal laws.

FWIW, the ValueMags offer thru GoldPoints is now back to 150 GPs/$. It appears that the promotion was pulled early.

Let's make sure you understand that I don't endorse MileSpy in a way a few posters on this thread seem to think. I found it to be interesting and something for the masses and we reported on it in MilesLink - a week after we reported the same story for free use of the information. Because we tell you about what's going on out there does not mean we "endorse it." I don't think than Dan Rather feels he "endorses" the war in Afganistan when he reports on it in the evening news. I found the program interesting and did decide to use it myself, a simple reason why - I didn't have the personal time to do the paperwork myself. I knew about it and certainly knew the bottom line cost but it's my available time for such things that comes with a premium. Nothing more.

This text pulled directly from milespy.com may explain why it has been stated that you "endorse" this site.
Our strategy for low-cost air travel is:

I realize this was probably not your intent (to "endorse" their offering simply by mentioning it in MilesLink), but nonetheless I can see why some are confused.

God I detest fence sitters. Endorse it, don't endorse it...pick one! Reminds me of politicians.

So what does everyone think now - - did MileSpy's commercial appropriation of information shared in good faith on FlyerTalk lead to, or at least hasten, the early termination of the GoldPoints/ValueMags promotion, to the detriment of the FT community?

Contrary to what is mentioned in Mileslink, there is a better offer - which is to open a Radisson account and through them buy magazines from valuemag (and not skip the other Web sites as mentioned in mileslink). This works out to about 0.88 cents (and is even less if you use a coupon), easily beating the 1.5 cents offer from Milespy.

PG, he means 3000 miles for the 95 cent fee. The one hundred dollars spent is not counted since it was cash that would be layed out in the next month or two anyway - promotion or no promotion. With the magazine deal, most people were just "buying miles" and would not have been purchasing that many subscriptions (understatement here) if it were not for the promotion.

ahh..how american-centric. the hallmark promo is almost completely useless (except for things like amazon) for anyone but someone living in the US. that disqualifies it as the best promo of the year IMO.
