PG, he means 3000 miles for the 95 cent fee. The one hundred dollars spent is not counted since it was cash that would be layed out in the next month or two anyway - promotion or no promotion. With the magazine deal, most people were just "buying miles" and would not have been purchasing that many subscriptions (understatement here) if it were not for the promotion.</font>

fireflyreaction -- any deal involving GoldPoints is American-centric by definition, since their membership requires NA residency.

Have you looked at all the options with Hallmark.com gift certificates, especially online stores and catalogs? Besides, don't you have Home Depot stores in Canada? You may want to look at the list of redemptions options here: http://www.giftcert.com/merchantslist.asp?I=ALL

Interesting comment by PG from one month ago:

Did anyone (Randy or Milespy founders) attempt to contact Radisson about this issue?
I think that Radisson may be losing money on this deal, and if so doesn't it follow that they might be willing to let individual customers take advantage of this deal but may be hesitant to allow massive arbitrage by a commercial entity.
I'm also afraid that this makes it less likely of similar future offers. And it makes it more likely that Radisson may put caps in their program about how many miles can be transferred to airlines in a year. Latin Pass imposed such a cap on transfers to Marriott Rewards.</font>
