Thanks, Geo!

BTW- I noted also last month that you now also have a Shula's Steak House in DC!

Yet, I still would go for The Palm!

It's a free country so more power to you.

My Grandma always said a good gene pool is a terrible thing to waste.
My biology teacher said limited gene pools produce inbreeding problems and the most diverse gene pools produce the healthiest stock.

B+ at best. Wise move to not move The Palm off the top of your list.

Ahhhhh, why do I do this..... Ah, hell, can't stop myself.

I remember watching a show on Vegas a few years ago. The interviewer asked one of the Casino hotel owners about other states and Canadian Provinces becoming more lenient with gaming laws and opening casinos all across the country, and how gambling was not just in Vegas and Atlantic City anymore. He asked how much that would impact their business.

His response was quite interesting. He said that the Vegas casino owners association (or whatever the heck it is called) support increased gaming across the country. He made a comment along the lines of, "Vegas is the Mecca for gamers. Everyone wants to come to Vegas, and the more people introduced to gaming in their home state, the more people will want to come to Vegas".

Another BB won't/can't kill FT!!! FT is the Mecca. All the boards will lead to FT just like the saying, "All Roads Lead to Rome". Randy wont fear competition in this area. It can't hurt him, and really, why would you fear something that ultimately stands to help you?

Ok, thats enough out of me. Now, who's hungry, my cart isn't doing very well here. Too much debating, not enough eating. I don't want the Hot Dog Repo man showing up trying to take my wieners back.

PEANUTS, POPCOR, REVEL ICECREAM HERE!!!!!

PS Free Icecream at Baskin Robins http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/001970.html

I have not at any time on this thread flamed any Flyertalker. However I really would sincerely ask NJDavid to consider editing completely, or at least amending his two posts above of 10.44am and 11.43am, in the precise spirit of what another moremiles founder dgolds posted earlier: "I personally find it inappropriate to our host to discuss issues around another board on his private forum and will not do so".

This is Randy's own board. You all know full well he is on the road travelling half way across the world and thus possibly cannot react to this right now. I happen to know he is very ill right now as well - hope it wasn't the Queensland food? But those are pure and simple disrespectful posts of our host, and his company IMHO, and in his own Forum.

Randy was gentlemanly and gracious enough to post here in this Forum and wish this project success. I do not however believe he posted and invited the moremiles founders to use his Forum to run down his own highly sucessful enterprises and boast that company reps were already working with the new venture, and otherwise advertise themselves at his expense? That is HIGHLY inappropriate.

I have never once posted for a thread to be closed down, but there is a first time for everything. At least in THIS instance, it is entirely in keeping with this thread title, which is:

Such wise comments from someone with such a seemingly foolish name as "Village Idiot!"

Noise & music are both, however, in the eyes of the beholder(s)!

My dad used to call "Jethro Tull," "Led Zepellin" and "The Who" just noise!

Who imagined that they would emerge to be rock icons? Classics! Lots of folks!

FWIW, in any case, it's great to have choices IMHO!

And isn't success also measured differently by different folks?

I like FT and sincerely hope that we can all continually work to make it an increasingly better and more useful place for us all to visit!

Seems many have lost sight that this is called Only Randy Petersen's forum. No one needs to act on his behalf except for him and his staff. Let this one go.

Since Randy is sick in SIN, my guess is that he'll let this thread just peter out.
HEY GUYS...it's starting to get boring already!

Since Randy's currently unavailable and out of the country, I'm going to close this thread.

If you want to carry on discussions between each other, please take it to FT Community, or even email; there's a reason this forum is titled Only Randy Petersen.

Thank you for your understanding.
