Have the currency fluctuations in Argentina created any reasonable RTW opportunities?
For the whole of the Americas, except Canada, the base fares are quoted in USD. |

Do you have ticket number, confirmation code, and are you able to select seats?

I'm not sure which thread is right for this, I have a CX issued DONE4. Date changes have been no issue via whatsapp (and once by calling), though they bave been understandly swamped post dramatic weather issues. What I'm struggling with now and would love advice on (I have no CX status) is convincing the non xONEx knowledgeable person to ask someone about availability on flights which show a D9 on expertflyer with the POS set to where I started my xONEx AND moreover show as available on a dummy new booking via https://rtw.oneworld.com/rtw/choose-flight
An example of what the agent tiold me: as this will involve another airline, we see what is allocated for us. Also, ticket stocks for new booking and for rebooking are different. It matters since we only rely on the ticket stocks that are available for us to sell in to passengers. |

Might need some screenshots, because what you linked in the T&C's still says OR.
And since segments rule can be met flying 8 segments within past 24 months, it means I only need to construct a RTW with 3 QR segments on my next RTW having nearly finished the second ex-Cairo RTW. Is Oslo and Tokyo still the lowest DONEs out there? |

The OW desk will call you back on the phone to confirm the changes and any fees. In my case I made changes to ticketed points and they still didn't charge me any fees for it. But as Littlevoices said as well, I'd check it in the OW tool first, because we know that Expertflyer isn't perfect for RTW availability due to point of origin issues that it doesn't have access to. So you'd need to plug in a proxy itinerary similar to your current one to get accurate availability. |

Hi all, seeking some advice on how I could optimise the YQ/YR on this DONE4 itinerary via codeshares and ticketing carrier, for now this is what I have planned to optimise points earn on AY. The advice I've been reading on the forum has been highly insightful and appreciated.
OSL-QR-DOH-QR-DUB-QR-xDOH-QR-GRU / SCL-QF-SYD-AA-ZQN / CHC-AA-xSYD-BA-HKG-CX-HKT-CX-HKG-AA-SIN-AA-xHND-BA-xLHR-AA-OSL AY earns the most on AA,BA,IB, which I've chosen where possible, but unsure if this is feasible on all these flights or if I am being overly ambitious. Also reading that issuing it on QR via Sabre would avoid other carriers' surcharges, how easy is it to find a TA that can do that? Open to suggestions on how to tweak the itinerary if necessary. Thanks all in advance. |

SYD-HKG CX110 does as AY5092, BA4132, OM5604 Also reading that issuing it on QR via Sabre would avoid other carriers' surcharges http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=c%3Ablu...=bm&PW=3&DU=mi |

ZQN CHC by land is a waste of a segment. Is counted in the 16 allowable. Note CX fly AKL-HKG and CHC-HKG seasonably (summer).

SYD-HKG CX110 does as AY5092, BA4132, OM5604 I believe the codeshares all exist, but the only thing I don't know is if I actually have this freedom to nitpick the codeshares for every flight I want, or if there are some married segment logic or requirement to link it with a prime flight of that carrier. Not sure I understand your example on the SYD-HKG routing, as your example of the CX flight shows a BA code like I have in my itinerary. Same way I wrote AA between HKG and SIN, which is obviously operated by CX. The reason for this is that AA, BA, IB codes earn double the tier points vs CX, QF, JL, etc. on AY, so I'm trying to pick these codes where possible. Not sure if this has YQ/YR implications, especially with BA's reputation of high surcharges on their own flights, do these apply to codeshares too? This

Read where? Link?
Saw this post mentioning QR-issued tickets only have YQ/YR levied on QR and BA sectors, unsure if that's universally applicable or if I've misunderstood. |

codeshare selection really depends on who is ticketing.. travel agent or airline agent.

One thing to check is availability in EF using a PoS of the country of the CX office you are calling, e.g., HKG if calling their HKG office (I'm not sure where Whatsapp contacts are handled). You could also check PoS U.S. and if it shows available, call CX's U.S. number. Likewise for other countries.I'd suggest verifying EF availability for PoSin a country where CX has an office, then calling that office.

Full route booked (for 4, cost per adult = ~USD7.5k; so a lot of fuel surcharges)
OSL-DOH-HKG // HKG-CMB-SIN-HKG // HKG-AKL-NAN-MEL-HKG // HKG-JFK-ORD-ANC-SEA-DOH-OSL (Return from another RTW) // 1 week CNY Holiday // 2 week Easter Holiday // 2.5week Summer holiday and return Other points to note:
