Comp Frequent Flyer Level
I am a 100K at United. Does Northwest matches my status and how should I do it?
Thanks
Thanks

What I would do is first call 1800-44-PERKS and ask how they want you to do it. You will probably be comped to Gold Elite which is the middle tier in the Northwest Elite program.

I received a gold card after providing evidence of platinum status on DL.

I have just joined NW WP as YXU has good NW feeder service, and at least one of the cities that I visit regularly has good connections (and AC cancelled them last fall).
I submitted an email through the web site asking to be comped based on my last year's travel (and the promise to submit supporting documentation).
Does WP have a good track record responding to these emails?
Is there a fax number to which I could submit this request?
(My intial read of the this board and the WP web site seems to show that the program is pretty good, notwithstanding the membership fee for lounge access)
(My first flight is YWU-DTW-FWA next week, I'm looking forward to seeing how the experience will be)

Is there a fax number or e-mail address for requesting WP comps?
Thanks in advance.

OK, I'm in the middle of this right now. And I don't necessarily agree with the way NW is handling it.
I don't get paper statements in the mail anymore... I get email statements from DL. I faxed this in to NW on 2/28. They sent me a note saying it had to be a real paper copy. I replied, saying that I don't GET real paper copies. A WEEK LATER (yesterday), I get a note saying, oh, we've forwarded your request to so and so and it will be 2-3 weeks to hear something back. WHAT?! I've called 44PERKS so many times and told them that NW is missing out on full Y fares every week that I am not elite. They said they could do nothing, and that I might get a letter in the mail saying that they need more info.
A letter in the mail?! Don't you people understand that I'm a top level elite at DL? In other words, I'M NEVER HOME! I don't get my mail but once every two weeks! What are they thinking? What about email? What about a phone call? Seems to be easier to me...
The longer NW drags it's feet on this the more money DL gets and not NW.
*sigh*

Just curious mspman, if you are a CO Platinum, why not just use that and forget about Worldperks altogether.

If it is not too late, my conversion from DL was handled by Patricia A. Broten, Assistant Manager, WorldPerks Customer Service Center, Fax # 218.254.7567,
The mailing address is:
601 Oak St.
Chisolm, MN 55719-1995.
I was asked to fax the most recent account summary.
Hope this helps.

How do you check to see if they got your fax? I'm trying to get a comp from my AA Plat but no one @ NWA can tell me if my fax made it there.

This clearly can't account for @$$holes at the other end losing it, but I always explain to people who try the "fax not received" excuse that I know they received it because their fax machine told my fax machine that was the case.

There is no excuse for this, especially with their top elite members.

Can you imagine what kind of crap would go in your "record" (and subsequently affect the service you receive) if you rubbed an Elite Line agent the wrong way?
"DJMeatBall called 25 times on March 17th to find out when the waitlist on KLM flight is going to clear".
