I was just trying to evaluate international business out / coach back options between CO and NW. Unfortunately NW doesn't allow it so CO won.

Can't access my Elite Extra Perks Award from nwa's email
Not sure if this is nwa.com issue or not--but it deals with nwa, email, and using nwa.com to choose a reward.
I just passed the 60K plateau (finally!) for Elite Platinum Perks, and got the email with the title, "Elite Extra Perks Reward Notification--Level 1".
However, the email is blank. I have tried setting my email to a "normal" email address like earthlink, and also hotmail. Neither will show ANYTHING--the emails are always blank.
Is this my fault, or should I call NWA Japan and ask them about it? MY nwa address is in Japan, because I spend several months in Asia every year.
Usually, the emails are promos like, "Fly NRT-Saipan for 20K miles and ??? Yen!", so I just ignore them.
But this time, I'm guessing I need to click on a link so I can choose my Reward. I couldn't find it anywhere on the NWA.com web site, either.
Thanks!

Blank emails
It's a disagreement between your mail-reader/browser and sloppy coding from the sender...
Try the "view source" mode ~ it won't be pretty, but will confirm that they didn't *really* send 15k of nothing . And sometimes, using "forward inline" will display something nearly readable.

What's really odd; I get 'monthly statements' for 8 accounts ~ 2 are ALWAYS messed up. Go figgure.

To get to the Elite ExtraPerks reward selection page, you can use the following path:

Asia web site:
nwa.com > WorldPerks (hover over tab for menu) > Elite Program (hover over tab for menu) > Elite ExtraPerks (link on page) > Elite ExtraPerks promotion details page (link on page) from there you can select any rewards that you currently qualify.

US web site:
nwa.com > WorldPerks (hover over tab for menu) > WorldPerks Program Information (hover over tab for menu) > Elite Program (hover over tab for menu) > Elite ExtraPerks Promotion (link on page) > Elite ExtraPerks promotion details page (link on page) from there you can select any rewards that you currently qualify.

Can I make a suggestion for the award selection process?

When selecting the awards, you are shown the terms and conditions of the particular reward only AFTER you've selected the non-changable "confirm" button. It would be better to show them BEFORE you hit the final confirm. In my case, I would have not selected the WC passes because the terms said they were not transferable (I'm already a WC member). So I guess my 60K reward is useless... I'd hate for others to make the same mistake.

The new booking system does not permit choice of airline on the award reservation main page. I had to search and then click for more options in order to look for availability on other airlines. The extra steps are a pain, can this be changed?

It seems to provide the same list as the old booking engine.

Go to http://res.nwa.com. Select the "WorldPerks Award Travel" button. Directly below that button, you have the choice of selecting non-stop flights only as well as a drop-down menu with nine partner airlines.

From the home page if you click on Reservations Center, then choose Worldperks Award Travel from the drop down menu, the next screen does not automatically show airline choices even though the Award button is filled in. If you re-click the Award button the list appears, but you should not have to make that extra step.

Links to the award terms and conditions are already available from a link on the nwa.com/eliteextraperks landing page as well as from the page in the selection process immediately prior to the completion of the selection of the reward as part of the original design.

Facing bug when trying to book award tix
Reposting from another thread:

Im facing a bug and am hoping somebody can help me with that (NW Scoop, etc.):

Trying to book an award ticket for 12/22 - 1/21 SEA-BOM for 2 people. It comes back with an error saying

"WorldPerks Award Travel Reservations are not available for the dates selected because no Northwest Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, or codeshare partner flights were found between Seattle and Mumbai that matched your request. "

When trying the "price" or "Schedule" options, it seems to be working well with the prices for each of the options.

Can anybody help????

Thanks.

Can't view past nwa.com itineraries any longer.

New format when you go there...I can see the list, but if I click on the trip, you can't access them anymore (it links you to the itinerary look up page, which doesn't work for past trips).

I go to check on an award itin. Say, BOS-AMS. Pick dates, set it up, but then try to change the return date. It makes me start all over. Happened 6 times on two computers. On 3 occasions, this gave me a site error. You have to log out if you are checking something and then change your mind in order for this to be avoided.

When I try to book an award ticket (Perk Pass) it only shows me like 3 schedule choices. I tried changing the number to display to 50 and it changed nothing. I know the flight is there because I can buy it but it doesn't show up on award travel. Any ideas? I don't want to book it by phone either (mystery miles etc).

Award: selecting PerkSAVER WBC is getting PerkPASS coach!
Serious bug on trying to book an award reservation on the new system:

Looking at DEN-FCO r/t on various dates in October.

Many results show up with both Saver coach and Saver World Business Class (or F/Business on partners CO and DL).

I'm looking to select a 50,000 outbound Saver WBC or CO BusinessFirst, which shows available with a nice bright red "Select" button. I select it, it shows up as the outbound segment. (note that on this new screen, the outbound flight display doesn't show cabin class at all).

Then I go to select a PerkSaver coach return for 25,000 miles.

Select that, and what comes up on the next page is that my outbound has been booked in PerkPASS coach for 50,000 miles instead of PerkSAVER WBC.
Booking class: Y/Coach
Ticket Designator: WP300
Fare basis code: YPASS
Happens that way for all NW or CO selections I make.

If I choose a DL flight in BusinessElite, it does work properly. But don't want to fly on DL's worse old business seat.
Booking class: O/ Business
Ticket Designator: WP300
Fare basis code: CSM

Look at DEN-FCO connections the 2nd week of October, with returns the next week, to see examples. Yes, I've tried it about 5 times making sure I wasn't making a mistake about which "Select" button I was pressing.
