Begging, pleading, escalating.

Actually, a little bit of charm goes a long way. I've managed to get a match three times (including this year) even thought I have not flown on them since 2000.

First, thanks to all of you for this really informative thread.

I was AAdvantage Gold (through my employer), and just switched to CO. I mailed my documents 6 days ago, and as of yesterday I'm showing up as Silver at continental.com. I wanted to let everyone know that they changed the status match PO box, and I figured out the fax number.

After emailing the service center, here is what they request:

-Full Name
-OnePass Account Number
-Current Address
-Current Phone Number
-A copy of the most recent statement from the other airline showing status and current mileage
-A copy of your current elite card from the other airline

You can send it to:

OA Match Request
P.O. Box 4757
Houston, TX 77210-4757

or, fax to 832-235-2713.
Anybody know if this info is still accurate?

Sad to say, this makes three in a row...
FYI that fax number listed above for CO status match (832-235-2713) does not appear to be working any longer.

That's only two in a row.

I too am looking for a fax number to send in my status match request.
When I called them up last week, they said the only way to do this is mail in the request.

Is Status Match on UA worth it?

I am currently Platinum on US and am close to CP (95k+). I need to fly to Vietnam in a few weeks, and am trying to figure out how to fly better than coach. I am willing to use miles (have a bunch) but nothing is available on any Star Alliance carrier.

The best set of flights I have found for my schedule is UA...if I try to get a status match on UA would it help my upgrade possibilities any? With this flight, if I use my US DM number I would have over 125k miles earned this year, so I am not opposed to using my UA MP number. But I'm not sure it's worth it. Any thoughts from the experts?

Thanks in advance.

US Platinum (soon to be CP)
no status on anybody else (I live near PHL)

My boss faxed his Delta statement to United on Friday night. He is Platinum with Delta, over 100,000 Medallion miles this year and almost has one million miles. Within 12 hours, he received an e-mail granting him UA Exec Plat (1P) for 90 days... Very happy since he has an IAD-SFO roundtrip coming up and rarely ever flies UA. Maybe he'll finally see the light now...

Haven't seen any reports of Aeromexico matches.

No recent experience, but Mexicana used to be an easy match.
