I sent an email to [email protected] with my AAdvantage info and got the confirmation email of the status match (well, challenge) to Premiere Executive in less than 4 hours. I'll have to move up a trip by a few days to get the 12,500 miles in the next 90 days, but I'm impressed with how quickly I got a response.

I called the UA Prem. Exec. Customer Service line and the agent told me the date is a mistake; that if I match within the 90 days I will have status through Feb 2009. I should probably call again to see if I get the same answer.
Also, your US flights will count toward the status match challenge as well:
EQM and EQS are earned on United, United Express, Ted and the Star Alliance members listed below:
Adria Airways | Air Canada | Air New Zealand | All Nippon Airways | Asiana | Austrian Airlines Group | Blue1 | bmi | Croatia Airlines | LOT Airlines | Lufthansa | SAS | Singapore Airlines | South African Airways | Spanair | Swiss International Air Lines | TAP Portugal | THAI | US Airways | Varig

Congratulations! You have been awarded Premier Executive status in the Mileage Plus program! This will make your travel with us comfortable, simple and more rewarding than ever.
Your status will be effective for 90 days. To keep the status through February 2008, just earn 12,500 base flight miles or 15 base flight segments on United, Ted or United Express within the 90-day timeframe. Until you have a card, be sure to add your Mileage Plus number to your reservation in order to fully benefit from your elite status.
To maintain the status throughout all of 2008, you must earn 50,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM) or 60 Elite Qualifying Segments (EQS) by December 31, 2007. EQM and EQS are earned on United, United Express, Ted and the Star Alliance members listed below:

I know the answer to this is probably no, but is there anybody who has or knows of someone who got comped a level higher than their current on status on another airline. I'm will be gold on aa through a challenge by august and have enough flights coming up to complete plt challenge in Nov./Dec. However, I'd rather fly united since it serves my hometown airport. Since it sounds like united is requiring people to do challenge-like runs to keep their comped status, do you think I would have a shot at getting comped to premier, but then put on their 90 day premier exec. challenge? I know this is a long shot, but I'd rather not fly another 10,000mi. on aa to get plt. and then wait to get comped to premier exec. on united next year. What do you guys think? Should I even submit this request?

CO Plat, status match to US or UA
Thought this thread would be a good place to keep this. I found a more recent fax number in another thread for a US Airways status match but didn't see it in here: 480-693-8024
Not sure if inlight of their "Try Preferred Out" for a fee promotion if they'll still match.

To status match or not to status match?
I really can't decide so thought I'd post this question here.
Currently CO Plat (125% bonus miles on each flight) already requalified for next year...
My travel for the next 3-5 months has me on a CO regional jet. Or I could fly US on a larger plane. I occassionaly fly UA internationally (maybe twice a year at most). Most other times I'm on CO (95% of my travel).
Should I
A - Maximize my miles with CO - just stick with them?
B - Spread to UA - have them match me (100% bonus miles) and not be able to get FC upgrades on US?
C - Open an account with US, have them status match (looks like only up to their plat which is 75% bonus miles) so that I have a chance of flying 1stclass over the next few months but frankly earning miles I'd probably only use on partner airlines?
Any Status matchees out there have a suggestion?

Tough question which really comes down to personal preference. If you could maintain the status somewhat over the next few years and it's not a one time thing I would do it. If you would just earn the status this year and never use it again, I wouldn't, just because miles mean a lot to me and they seem kind of wasted.

If this is just temporary, then I would just stick it out with CO and earn 125% bonus. You should only do the status match if you're going to stick with it for a few years as lucky pointed out.
However, if you are going to be always exceeding requal as CO Plat and fly UA internationally at least 1-2 times a year, then I can see adding UA and maintaining status on UA after a status match.

Matching on AA from DL-PT or US-CM?
After noodling it over for a while now, I decided that I'm going to try AA instead of UA. Do people know the phone number to call to try to get matched on AA? And do people have experience with getting matched on AA from DL Platinum or US Chairman's?
Also, I've read here that Priority Club will match - any experiences on how far up they'll match if coming from SPG Platinum?
Thanks!
