UA usually match other top levels to their Premier Exec (1P).

That has also been what I have witnessed when using AA EXP, BA Gold, NW Plat and DL Plat to get UA status.

Does anyone know a US AIr phone number I can call to follow up on my fax? Has anyone gotten a USAir comp lately? I'm AA PLT (requalified for '06)...

And to build on this question, how long did it take? I'm trying to get a *A comp, and flying OZ on Saturday, but they're dragging their behinds. US might be the back up (don't want to burn the UA comp just yet :D )

I'm doing the same thing holding out on US now....

DL is taking forever to acknowledge my status match request

Anyone have any idea what turn time to expect recently from DL?

Try sending it in again if it takes more than two weeks to hear from them. As of late, DL has become a fan of "challenges" (aka "fast-track qualification" if you hit a certain target within a certain time-frame).

Update: So OZ-USA calls me, and says it will take 4-6 WEEKS(!) for HQ to decide whether to status-match me.

Bye bye OZ to Asia!

status match on qatar airways

Hi!

Holding a TG's ROP gold and would like to switch to a couple of return flight from europe to SEA a year flying Qatar, most likely in C. Want to keep doing 50000+ miles with TG though but 2 return flight in C are enough are enough to retain gold with Qatar. can I get a status match from them??Is BKK or paris a better place to ask?,

Even if I don't get the match 2 C class return trips would be enough to achieve gold the first year on condition they give me Silver after the first flight and not only at the end of the year. Any experience on those issues??

Thanks for all useful info
Luis

Probably you should do it over again. We did it twice and D said they did not receive it -so we forgot about it.

Any member of OneWorld offer Status Match?

Do any members of OneWorld offer Status Match of *G? I know AA sort of offer to status match if you meet their "challenge", but any who will just match you if you send over your statements and card (I'm *G) - I wondered if Iberia / Finnair / smaller OneWorld may do.

Thanks

According to some FTers, CX does some.

Finnair did status match an associate of mine but that was related to a new route opening so I don't know if that is routine or not. ;)

(I will try my luck too.)

Merry Christmas to me!!!

This year has been a very strange travel year for me. Normally, I fly between 100k and 200k miles per year for business. This year, however, I was on a local project for the first 8 months of the year. Then in October, had some health problems, so have been working from home for most of November and December. So, I have flown very little by my standards.

In addition, my travel patterns changed when I was traveling. My project was in Portland. I used to fly United exclusively, but this year I got engaged and did not really want to spend as much time in airports as I have in the past. (go figure) Anyhow, Alaska has direct flights at perfect times for me, so I asked for (and received) a status match in August to MVP Gold. It expires at the end of this year. In August, it looked as if there was no problem with requalifying for MVP Gold. However, with the health issues, I did not even qualify for MVP!!! I was facing being statusless for 2006.

I called AS MP to ask them if they would take pity on me. They comped me MVP Gold for another year!!!! THEY ROCK!!!
