I have been able to do this through the internal email service in my chase.com profile.

Oddly enough, Chase seems to have closed out my checking account automatically after 3-4 months of a zero balance and not using the debit card at all.

OK, a potentially dumb question (I did read 12 pages and didn't find the answer):

Is this a hard or soft pull?

And a hopefully not dumb question:

I see via this thread that you don't enter your CO FF# anywhere on the app. I called in and no one seemed to have a good answer on this. One CSR said something about calling back in AFTER receiving the CO Debit Card and then they could add the FF# to that card. I see some have "merged" CO accounts later.

Anyone have any luck getting the existing CO FF# applied to this bonus (without merge)? If so, how?

Thanks!

It is a soft pull. No hard.

Within a week or so of the account being opened they will magically divine your Onepass number without you having to do anything. This process works correctly 96.8% of the time. Sit tight and do nothing and they will find your Onepass number. The remaining 3.2% of the time they screw it up, create a new Onepass account and you must call and have them combine it to correct it. Seems to be luck of the draw if they screw it up or not but the odds are in your favor.

What are chances that this gets extended again? Were the previous extensions done before a week left?

Huh? Don't you get charged a monthly fee if you don't use your card 5 times a month or have direct deposit?

All posted now. From POS to final posting, there might be 2 days delay. Well, new thing for me since I never have this for debit card, haha.

Wow, 25k miles for $25 and no credit pull is too good to be true.

Ok I did it. It took me an HOUR to open the account. Man, I ended up stuck with an "apprentice" who supposedly was going to "learn" from the banker. BS! He was a manager and all of the sudden started to sell me this credit card, and other savings and checking accounts. It came to a point that I had to tell him that I wasn't interested on withdrawing $ to open a preferred checking account from an account in another bank because pretty much they were going to give me the same interest. No means no but the guy couldn't drop it, "what questions do you have?, we want to earn your business"

This guy was so obnoxious, anyway he ended up leaving after I got fed up with his sales pitches, and the lady rep helped me to close the deal. SO, 1 hr later after being harassed haha, I am on the boat for 25K, ohhh yeah!

was it worth it? Hell yeah!

Has anyone open a business account in Virginia?
I just tried and gives me an error of "his product isn't available for the ZIP code you entered" but i didnt input anything but check the box wanting to start a new application.

I tried reading through some of the 90+ pages but couldn't find anything.

What is the closest Chase branch to Alexandria VA? I did a search on chase.com but it says there are no chase branches within 50 miles of zip code 22304? Is there a way to do this promo online? Everything I am reading says must be done in person?

Also, can you get both promos for opening up a personal account and a business account? I have an LLC I could use for a business account.

Business Account cannot be opened online

Numerous posts reported that business accounts must be opened at Branch only.

They also have different T&Cs and most likely be governed by different FDIC clauses.

The personal promo can be done online. Numerous posts have said so. I found it easy. All the info you need is on the OnePass page at the Continental website.

There is a monthly service fee if you don't have dir dep or 5 debit card trans a month, of $6. HOWEVER, Chase WILL NOT charge you THAT service fee to make you go below $0. So, if you have a $7, they will charge the $6, leaving you with $1. If you have $6, they will charge you the $6 and leave you with $0. If you have $1.34, then they will charge you the monthly service fee, but it will be fore $1.34, leaving you with $0. They will NOT put you negative in your account soley because of the monthly service fee. So, if it sat at $0, then nothing could get charged as far as monthly service fee goes, and it would close out in about 3 months for sitting at $0 with no trans. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I never knew that. It sounds conspicuously customer-friendly from Chase. Must be government-imposed :)
