I hadn't seen your post until now, so I never asked him to check the system. Is there a chance I could get the first 10k after all or am I SOL? I'm planning to go back next week to try for the biz debit card, and I'm wondering if it would be possible for that same banker to find the other printout after several days have passed, if it indeed exists.

If it helps at all, both my wife and I signed up separately online last night for personal checking using the link here.
- I had recently closed my original standard checking in the last 60 days because I wasn't happy with the perks (prior to ever coming here).
- My wife, never had a chase account
The result online was we both only saw "15,000" under the bonus description as well. We'll see how it goes!

I opened a checking account with the personal debit card yesterday morning, but the banker only brought back the 15k print out. He called someone on the phone for help and they came to the conclusion that I wouldn't get the 10k because I had a recently closed Chase checking account and did not wait 90 days before opening another one (this is true, but the promo would've been expired by then). Is this correct? I didn't see anything in the T&C about waiting 90 days.

I don't think this is correct. I had a Chase checking account, closed it and the very next day I opened a new account with this offer. Two weeks later or so I received the 10,000 miles for opening the account. Now my wife on th other hand closed her account and the next day I opened her one online with this offer and she only got one 15,000 tracking number. We emailed CSR and they said she had to call but she hates calling Chase so who knows what will happen...

...in spite of the fact that the promotion page states "This exclusive offer is by invitation only and the cash award will be awarded to the Chase...customer who received this communication directly from Chase", clicking on the word "Enroll" does indeed allow you to then enroll for this offer...

Interesting: My first 22,500 miles posted 7/6. I wanted to call them for the other 2,500 but I never got around to it. Today I checked my account and saw that the 2,500 miles were posted 8/20 - no action had been taken on my part. I find it weird they split it like this since the promo mentioned two installments of 10k and 15k miles.

If you have earned other checking account opening bonus this year (like $100/$125, etc), it's likely that you'll only get 15K CO miles. That's what happened to me and DW. We both did the $125 bonus earlier this year, than did the CO personal accounts(online application), confirmation only showed 15K CO miles. Eventually we only got 15K CO miles (12.5K + 2.5K for Debit card).

You may want to call the 1-800 number posted in the other thread (CO forum) to "argue" because your $125 bonus was for an account opened in 2009 so it should not count for 2010 offer.
Let us know the progress if you decide to pursuit from this angle.

Some people had similar issues on the OnePass accounts in that their 2009 OnePass accounts bonuses posted in 2010. However it seems those folks were able to successfully argue with the full 2010 bonuses for their OnePass accounts.

Just an update: Today I went back to the banker who helped me last week with opening the personal checking account. I had asked him at that time if it would be possible to come back to get the bonus on the biz checking too. He said it was fine so today I brought him the coupon for the biz 25,000 mile bonus.
He told me it I would probably only get the 15,000 miles just like before, and this was alright with me. But we were both surprised to see that both printouts (10,000 + 15,000) were there.
I don't certainly take it to mean that I'll definitely get the entire 25,000 but at least I have the printouts should something not go right.
So now I'm thinking about holding off on calling them for the first 10,000 on the personal account until I get the biz bonuses. I think "laying low" for now might be the best bet.

Dec 31st
Opened my wife and my accounts on Dec 31st last year. I saw a few weeks earlier in this thread that some people had success with accounts opened in December with miles posting in Jan. What about Dec. 31st? Even though the paperwork was done on the 31st, I'm a little concerned that I will be dragging the wife down to the bank for nothing.
If the paperwork was filled out on the 31st does that mean that everything was processed that day?

Bank error - a warning
Chase alerted me to some fraudulent activity on my business account debit card. There was a $1 transaction followed by a $5k transaction, both originating in Europe; France and Germany, respectively. Both were denied by Chase. I thank them for this...
...but it was the beginning of something much more troublesome. I had the original card closed out and a new one sent. I keep a very low balance in this account and make my few small transactions a month.
Apparently, some sort of glitch in the system caused the new card sent to generate a new $65 annual fee, six months after the account was opened. This caused my account to go negative and of course it was in the 48-60 hr period between when I made my few small transactions and when they change from 'pending' to 'cleared'. And of course they count the annual fee first, then the small charges.
So here I am ~($200) and Chase needs to be argued with to get every fee reversed. I eventually got every penny back, but didn't need the heart attack or the ten phonecalls a day for a week until I could figure out the issue and deal with it. PITA!!
Been long enough. Time to close that account (and open another
)
edit: on the plus side, checking my OP account, I did get 2500 miles for the new card. Worth the aggravation, I guess

Min account length and direct deposit
Had a hard time finding recent answers for these:
(1) how long must the account stay open to keep chase happy? I've seen both 60 days and 6 months on different posts
(2) how many times can an account be opened in a year? (I've seen 2?)
(3) are there any good ways for direct deposit other than payroll? I'm maxed out on # of DD accts through payroll...
Thanks!
