If you want to rip people off there would be much faster/profitable/risky ways then opening bank accounts or making small changes at gas stations.

How do you link your OnePass account# with this debit card ? I opened an account today and the "banker" had no idea how to actually enter the OP number!

For accounts opened in the bank, the banker has two places in their system per account to input the Onepass number when entering the promotion. Did you get your two pages with "tracking numbers"? If not I would worry and follow up. Sounds like your banker didn't know what they were doing. For accounts opened online there is no place to input your Onepass and they 'usually' magically divine it 3 or 4 days after the account is opened.

I got a letter in post confirming terms of the offer, and it states 12,500 come from Chase and 2,500 come from Continental, hence the split you see

I opened the Chase checking/Continental One Pass Master Card acct last week. And, yeah, I made SURE that the bank officer entered in my OnePass number into the system. I had to present the on-line offer form and she followed the banker instructions printed on the reverse side. Of course, sometime in the future, "Continental" cards will be collecter items.

OK I'm a dunce. I funded my wifes account with my new United Mileage Plus 50k Visa Chase card. Will I have to refund another $100 to get the miles.

Man, I just want to smack myself....

Yes the T&C's state that it has to be funded with funds not currently held by Chase bank. Since that is a Chase card it would not count.

If you have the tracking number pages you are probably fine. They will most likely figure out your Onepass number themselves. Worst case they would create a new Onepass account and you would have to call CO to have them combined. If you have the tracking number pages, give them a week or so and probably they will sort it out on their own. Still, the banker DOES have two places in their system to input the Onepass number.

I successfully applied online just now. The only glitch I had was when I tried to fund the new account from another credit card. That didn't work, so I tried again and funded with my local bank's debit card. That worked perfectly.

Thanks to all for all the helpful info in this thread.

I funded with an AA Visa for $1,000 total. Its our main card so its not an unused card.

I sent money to a friend with my CO debit card thru paypal to make 5 times of requirement.
This paypal transaction doesn't show up CA*. It is shown with PAYPAL *.
Is it considered as debit transaction?

Thanks in advance.
