Interesting that they went back and changed it. I couldn't remember that restriction myself, which is actually why I went back and looked at the terms again (though I went to the web site rather than my printed coupon). Hmm.

Glad I printed the coupon.

Wow! I just saw that change in language. I have the "June 30" coupon I printed immediately before opening my account on April 17 and it has no such language as of that date. It was clearly added no sooner than last week.

I plan on funding $100 the "real" way, too, but why not earn the extra BA miles while I'm at it...
$500.

Noticed that I was walking up against the end of the statement cycle and hadn't hit my five transactions to avoid the fee on my business account. Turns out, you can easily do that from your desk by using Google Checkout.

No, there is not a hard hit when you sign up for this account.

No credit check. Process is very straight forward, called 1 877 682 4273 and got the account set up over the phone. The rep will be mailing out signature cards for me and a slip to deposit $100 at any chase branch.

Nope. I set up as a merchant and emailed myself five $0.35 invoices. The fees are $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction.

$1.75 in Google fees is much better than the ~$16 service fee Chase charges for having an inactive business account. Five debit card transactions per month prevents getting hit with the Chase fee.

OK, I got some of my mileage bonus today. But it was 12,500 miles. I thought it was supposed to be:

* Get 10,000 bonus miles when you open a Chase CheckingSM account and make 5 debit card purchases or set up direct deposit1
* Get another 15,000 bonus miles2 after your first qualifying purchase3 if you open a Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card (annual fee applies)4

Wonder why I only got 12,500 vs. 15,000? Who should I contact to inquire about this?

I literally finished this application 2 minutes ago. The receipt I printed for the bonus miles states "To receive the bonus miles (12,500 from Chase and 2,500 from Continental)"

On my last complete cycle with this, the 2,500 took a few extra weeks to post, but it did post with no intervention on my part. Here is how the miles posted chronologically for me (post 496 of this thread): http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...s#post13269462
